Sure to prompt plenty of debate about<br />
originality, authorship and the intrinsic<br />
value or ideas, Me As Him is the title<br />
of the new show from controversial<br />
Brit-artist Gavin Turk. Having already<br />
explored ideas about authenticity<br />
with his examinations of fame and<br />
superimposing his own image upon<br />
the likes of Sid Vicious and Ché<br />
Guevera, Turk has now reconstructed<br />
Andy Warhol’s ‘Fright Wig’ selfportraits,<br />
replacing Warhol’s image<br />
with his own. You’ll find the exhibition<br />
at the Riflemaker Contemporary Art Gallery (79 Beak<br />
Street, W1) from 3 July ‘til 8 September.
