Owl OPDS-100 Series
The 100 Series is a family of application-specific one-way data transfer appliances. These
single-chassis, rackmountable products deliver the same hardware-enforced one-way
confidentiality of the proven OPDS-MP platform.

Each appliance contains:

OPDS-100FTE
OPDS-100FTE satisfies customers' needs for the periodic and automated transfer of files
across a network perimeter boundary between domains of different security levels and/or
policies. Ethernet inlet and outlet interfaces provide connectivity to business & secure
network spaces; integrated DualDiodeTechnology® provides their hardware-enforced
network isolation.
OPDS-100FTM
OPDS-100FTM enables operators and equipment providers the secure transfer of system
files from remote sites. This reduces travel to remotes. And data is not lost from dropped
dial-ins. Equipment providers use OPDS-100FTM to maintain Service Level Agreements
(SLAs) with their process control customers. Users dial-in to an integrated V.92 modem to
retrieve files stored on the appliance. Windows BITS is used to bring traffic into the ICS
HQ site.
OPDS-100EML
OPDS-100EML delivers the secure transfer of emails from isolated networks or individual
ICS remotes to network administrators and operator vendors in the business engineering
space. Among typical email transfers are system alerts, error state notifications, and heartbeat
messages. OPDS-100EML acts as an SMTP proxy on both sides of the non-routable
DualDiode protocol break, to receive generated emails, and to deliver to an outboard email
system after secure transfer.

Standard Product Configuration
Standard units of the OPDS-100 Series are designed to support individual customer applications.
This datasheet highlights the support for file transfers (either by LAN-to-LAN one-way
transfer, or by dial-in modem access), and one-way email transfer. Other 100 Series appliances
under consideration are TCP/IP transfer, UDP transfer, and direct transfer support for
a number of database historian provider solutions.
The integrated servers within OPDS employ the CentOS Linux operating system, “locked
down” from technical guidance taken from US government-formulated Security Technical
Implementation Guides (STIGs).
