Application Check List Below are the application requirements and check list. Please make sure you understand the application process and all that is required before sending in your materials. Complete online application Letter of support from your school music teacher, private teacher and parent/guardian (letter found on page four of this document) Application fee of $25 Online Application The online application can be accessed by visiting our audition page on our website at www.PacificSymphony.org/psye. A student need only complete one application whether they are auditioning for one or more ensembles. Letter of Support Letter of support found on page four of this document can be presented to and signed by your school music teacher, private teacher and parent/guardian. Applications are not considered complete without this signed letter. Application Fee A $25 application fee is required for every application. This is a one-time non-refundable fee and is applicable to a single application. Those auditioning for multiple ensembles need only complete the online application once and send in only one application fee of $25. Families who may have more than one student auditioning, will require two applications, and therefore two application fees of $25 (one per student). Submitting Your Materials • Online applications are submitted via the online application by clicking the “submit” button at the end of the application. There is no need to print and mail, fax, or email this application. • Signed Letter of Support and Application Fee must be mailed to our office at the address below. Checks are made payable to PACIFIC SYMPHONY. Please write your student’s name in the memo line of your check. Please send BOTH your letter of support and application fee together in one envelope. Note that applications are not considered complete until all three items above are received. Audition Schedule Auditions for the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, Youth Wind Ensemble and Santiago Strings will be held on the following dates: June 2*: Santiago Strings and Youth Orchestra (8am-5pm) • Santiago Strings – all sections • Youth Orchestra violins only June 3: Youth Orchestra and Youth Wind Ensemble (8am-1pm) • violins (continued), viola, double bass • oboe, bassoon, harp and piano June 9*: Youth Orchestra (8am-5pm) • violins (continued) June 10: Youth Orchestra and Youth Wind Ensemble (8am-9pm) • cello (Youth Orchestra only) • flute, clarinet, saxophones • French horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba • Percussion Please note that should the volume of applicants exceed availability of audition times on an assigned date above for a particular section, an additional date may be opened to that section to accommodate the over-flow, which may include, if necessary June 16 and/or 17. *SAT and ACT testing takes place on June 2 and June 9. PSYE will be sensitive to schedule affected students appropriately on these dates.
