As a service of Parma Hospital,
WellPointe Pavilion can retrieve patient
records from the hospital, while
offering quick turnaround on tests. The
outpatient center provides an added
measure of privacy for those who prefer
a more relaxing environment.
Radiology Services
Wrap yourself in a warm robe and
experience the WellPointe difference in
patient care, in the private, ground-floor
Radiology suite. WellPointe Pavilion can
handle all your imaging needs:
• MRI – High-field Magnetic
Resonance Imaging with a state-of-theart
magnet that produces greater detail
of anatomy and thus better diagnostic
imaging. The accredited MRI program
provides the highest quality of care.
• CT – A 10-slice Computerized
Tomography scanner for detailed scans
of blood clots
• Ultrasound – For
pregnancy, vascular
studies and carotid
arteries
• Mammograms – An
on-site radiologist can
view results and render
a preliminary diagnosis
while the patient is still
in the building. If further
diagnosis is needed,
additional testing such as
ultrasound can be done
immediately.
• Bone density
testing – A DEXA bone
densitometer yields body
scans to determine risk
of osteoporotic fractures.
Typically recommended
for post-menopausal
women every two years, bone scans
can be conveniently coupled with
mammograms per physician request.
Therapy Services
Individualized therapy programs are
designed for WellPointe’s occupational
and physical therapy patients. With easy
access from the parking lot, the firstfloor
therapy center offers convenience
and a pleasant environment.
Laboratory Testing
Blood draws and routine lab work,
as well as glucose checks and throat
cultures, are offered in WellPointe’s Lab.
Located on the main reception floor, the
Lab provides quick turnaround times
with virtually
no waiting.

Offices
Patients
whose
physicians

at WellPointe
can complete
blood work
and imaging
right after an
office visit
rather than
scheduling
additional
appointments. Physicians in a variety
of specialties occupy the second
floor: internal medicine, obstetrics/
gynecology, cardiology, ophthalmology,
endocrinology, cosmetic & dermatologic
plastic surgery, dermatology and
general & laparoscopic surgery.

New radiation
oncologist comes to
Cancer Center
The Cancer Center at Parma
Hospital welcomes Suzan Cheng,
MD, as a new full-time radiation
oncologist.
Dr. Cheng has worked extensively
with the latest imaging technologies.
She is a 1986
graduate of Case
Western Reserve
University and
completed her
training at both the
Cleveland Clinic and
University Hospitals.
She did her
Suzan Cheng, MD
fellowship training
at UC Davis in California. Her passions
include hospice and palliative
medicine, access to healthcare and
basketball.
