3.3. Waivers to <strong>Support</strong>.<br />
3.3.1. Requests for a waiver to permit duplication of support functions are appropriate if:<br />
3.3.1.1. It is more economical<br />
3.3.1.2. Provision of support is physically impractical<br />
3.3.1.3. Wartime requirements dictate duplication of facilities or functions<br />
3.3.2. ANG and AFRC receivers do not require a duplication waiver if their requirement is based on<br />
a wartime mission of their gaining MAJCOM.<br />
3.3.3. To obtain a waiver, the receiving MAJCOM should send a waiver request to the supplying<br />
MAJCOM, including confirmation of whether or not the receiving MAJCOM accepts responsibility<br />
for the financial and manpower costs of supporting the waiver. The receiving MAJCOM then requests<br />
the waiver from HQ USAF/ILGC. If approved, the waiver will normally be valid for three years and a<br />
copy of it should be attached to the relevant support agreement.
