Babies in Playland<br />
Ages 0 to 12 months<br />
This program will focus on babies and their early development.<br />
It will provide families and caregivers with learning<br />
opportunities on infant development through social and<br />
interactive play.<br />
Infant and Toddler Time<br />
Ages 0 to 30 months<br />
This program focuses on early development through social and<br />
interactive play. The program will include creative, sensory<br />
activities, songs and rhymes, and motor skills.<br />
**School Readiness <strong>Program</strong>s**<br />
Ages 3 to 5 years<br />
Please see back of the calendar for programs, days and<br />

Creative Movement<br />
This program offers a variety of activities such as finger-plays,<br />
songs, and musical games. This encourages listening skills,<br />
speech and language development, large and small motor<br />
skills.<br />
Family Time<br />
Family Time is for parents, caregivers and their children to<br />
meet others and play interactively in an early learning<br />
environment. The program will include creative, sensory,<br />
stories, rhymes, music, language and math activities.<br />
Me and Dad<br />
This program is for dads, uncles and grandfathers to have a<br />
special fun time with their children. This program will include<br />
activities such as creative, sensory, music, stories, language,<br />
math and gross motor activities.<br />
Open Door<br />
Come and explore our centre and the many services and<br />
resources available to you. Families are welcome to come in<br />
and play with their children.<br />
Tell Me a Story<br />
This program will focus on a variety of story telling methods:<br />
traditional story telling, sing-able stories, story telling with<br />
props and reading from a book. There will also be creative,<br />
sensory, language and gross motor activities.<br />
D.E.A.M Time” – Drop Everything And Move!<br />

**Region of <strong>Peel</strong> - Literacy Specialist Visit**<br />

Language and literacy development is the process of learning to listen, use<br />
body language, speak, read and write. We have a Literacy Specialist who<br />
comes on a monthly basis to visit one of our programs. She participates in<br />
the program activities and in circle time.<br />
**Parent-Child Infant Mother Goose <strong>Program</strong>**<br />
Tues., January 8, 15, 22, 29 and February, 5, 12/08<br />
This 6-week program is a group experience for parents and their babies,<br />
focusing on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories<br />
together.<br />
Ages: 0 to 12 months<br />

<strong>Peel</strong> Infant Development is a community-based agency affiliated with<br />
Trillium Health Centre. <strong>Peel</strong> Infant Development works with families and<br />
their children (birth to 6 years) in early identification of developmental<br />
concerns.<br />

**Make the Connection**<br />
A Parenting <strong>Program</strong> for Toddlers<br />
Friday, Jan., 11, 18, 25 and Feb., 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and Mar., 7/08<br />
This is an interactive parenting program being offered for 9 weeks. The<br />
program promotes ways to strengthen the parent child relationship at a<br />
time when your toddler starts seeking autonomy. Parents will learn to deal<br />
with challenges such as, separation anxiety, the emergence of “No”,<br />
Tantrums and much more.<br />
Ages: 12 to 24 months<br />
Dates: Friday<br />
Time: 9:30am to 11:00am<br />

**Science**<br />
(Weekly Registration required)<br />

Description: Through science, children learn to observe, question,<br />
explore, experiment, predict and solve problems. We will explore science<br />
activities through hands-on experiments, observations and discussions.<br />

**Car Seat Safety Clinic** - Presented by Public Health<br />
Thursday, January 17 th – at 1:30pm<br />
Learn how to install your car seat properly and its proper use. Registration<br />
required. Space is limited to 15.<br />
