During the autumn term 2013 I am teaching the vector calculus class for second-year mathematics students at
Reading. I have taught the following tutorials:
• Autumn term 2013, foundation of mathematics, mathematics students, Reading.
• Autumn term 2012 and spring term 2013, algebra 1, mathematics students, Reading.
• Autumn semester 2010, numerical methods for CSE, computer science and CSE (computational science and
engineering) students, ETH Zürich.
• Spring semester 2010, numerical mathematics, mechanical engineering students, ETH Zürich.
• Autumn semester 2008, linear algebra, civil engineering students, ETH Zürich.
• Autumn semester 2006 and 2007, mathematical analysis and informatics, biotechnology students, Pavia.
• Autumn semester 2006 and 2007, “pre-class” of mathematics, biology students, Pavia.
For some of these courses, I have been in charge of the design of the teaching material, the preparation, the supervision
and the grading of the exams. I am currently supervising a PhD student (together with S.N. Chandler-
Wilde and S. Langdon), an MMath fourth year project and three BSc third year projects.
