Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) CCPA-Mb has won three large SSHRC grants for inner city and northern Manitoba research. These have been among the very few large SSHRC grants secured by nonuniversity research institutes. For both of these grants, I have played a central role in preparing the applications, and have served on both the Research Committee, which allocates funding and makes policy decisions, and the three-person Management Committee, which manages the overall research projects.
