Check out the following exhibits.
Regenstein Center for African Apes
Get face-to-face with Lincoln Park Zoo’s famous
gorillas and chimpanzees. Three different groups
can be seen climbing trees, burrowing in the mulch
and interacting with fellow apes in natural indoor
and outdoor habitats.
Pritzker Family Children’s Zoo
Enjoy a walk in the woods. Visitors of all ages can
observe red wolves, black bears, river otters and beavers
in a wooded outdoor setting. Indoors, kids can see
snakes and insects at eye level before exploring the upper
canopy in the Treetop Canopy Climbing Adventure.
Regenstein African Journey
Experience the sights and sounds of Africa. Dwarf
crocodiles and pygmy hippos swim in rain forest
pools while meerkats and masked lovebirds play in
a dry thorn forest. Outdoors, towering giraffes amble
in the savanna near neighboring warthogs and African
wild dogs.
Farm-in-the-Zoo Presented by John Deere
Kids (and kids at heart) can experience the country
without leaving the city. Learn about the origins of
the foods we eat, greet the goats in the contact yard,
climb aboard a tractor in the Main Barn and visit
with cows, sheep, chickens, pigs and ponies.
THE GREEN SCENE
Amazing animals, lush gardens and buildings designed with
the Earth in mind make Lincoln Park Zoo one of the greenest
scenes in the city. Our environmental conservation program
includes seven green roofs and hundreds of energy-saving
light bulbs, solar panels and ample bike racks for visitors.
