Hundreds of residents attended our first summer festival in August. Many families with children turned out for the event, which took place at the Woodview Learning Complex in Whitleigh. The Whitleigh housing office led a childrenʼs mini Olympics and Plymouth torch bearer Dan Pengelly brought his torch along for people to see. Our Joinery Shop made an Olympic podium and the winners of the mini games were presented with their winnersʼ medals and certificates by Chair of the Board Elaine Pellow. More than 40 staff teams and partner agencies ran stalls and activities and families enjoyed a bouncy castle, football on an inflatable pitch, a mini beach for sandcastle building, a Zumba class and DIY skills. www.plymouthcommunityhomes.co.uk Autumn 2012 | PCH Newsletter 9
