Credit reference checks enable an MVNO to assess a
customer’s financial viability in support of managing risk and
company exposure to bad debt. MDS has existing relationships
and established interfaces with well-known credit reference
agencies, though new partners in this area can be introduced
easily as required. Prior to implementation, MDS will consult
with an MVNO (and often the chosen fulfillment vendor) to
design a customer credit checking process that incorporates
the planned or existing mobile order capture process,
including web shop and in-store Point of Sale terminals.
MDS will work with the MVNO to help configure the business
rules that define a customer’s credit worthiness and
associated business risk levels. Credit reference check results
CMP utilises a single integrated database that stores all
information pertaining to an MVNO’s services and its
customers. For data that is contained within the CMP
database, the MDS managed service offering provides 50 predefined
reports that support common queries such as highest
and lowest spend analysis, churn analysis for the number of
connections and disconnections, and tariff analysis to identify
the best-selling propositions. Additional reports can be
requested according to individual business requirements.
For business and operational intelligence data that resides in
other systems and/or is spread across disparate processes
(often captured in spreadsheet format) MDS can make
available holistic analytics and dashboard presentation
