Ulf Saupe Born in Halle, 1979, studied experimental alternative photography in Kassel with Prof. Floris Neusüss, master of the photogram. Ulf Saupe lived for three years in Madrid and worked there as an artist and press correspondent for a cultural magazine in Spain. He moved to Berlin in 2006 and continued working as an artist (until today) but very soon he established an experimental art space called Galerie SCALA. The space was open to the public for over one and a half years showing works by both young and established artists. Consequently, his background is both close to the contemporary artistic scene and to the history of photography. Furthermore, his skills led him to work for private collections focused on the 19th and 20th century photography. From 2009 - 2010 was running the Ulf Saupe Gallery in Torstrasse. Since autumn 2010 his attention is drawn again to his own artistic work as well preparing several independent art shows in Berlin for the next year.
