<strong>DARAG</strong> <strong>appoints</strong> <strong>new</strong> <strong>executive</strong> <strong>board</strong> <strong>member</strong><br />
Appointment<br />
Wedel, 7 April 2011 – Effective from 1 April 2011, the supervisory <strong>board</strong> of <strong>DARAG</strong> Deutsche<br />
Versicherungs- und Rueckversicherungs-AG has appointed Marc Troch (52) as a <strong>member</strong> of the<br />
<strong>executive</strong> <strong>board</strong> of <strong>DARAG</strong>. Marc Troch will take over the function of chief operation officer (COO). He<br />
will replace Wilfried Krauth, who will return into the supervisory <strong>board</strong>. Krauth will continue to lead<br />
BVAG Berliner Versicherung AG as CEO.<br />
Arndt Gossmann, CEO of <strong>DARAG</strong>: “I am pleased that we have been able to attract Marc Troch<br />
as a proven expert in insurance and capital markets. He will support the development of<br />
<strong>DARAG</strong> as a specialist insurer for Run-off. With the appointment of Marc, we have now also<br />
completed the management team of <strong>DARAG</strong>.”<br />
The <strong>executive</strong> <strong>board</strong> is supported by Zsolt Szalkai, chief transaction officer and Markus Müller, chief<br />
financial officer.<br />
Marc Troch comes from the Argenta, a bancassurance group in Belgium, Luxemburg and the<br />
Netherlands, for which he worked as chief financial officer. Prior to this, he headed the international<br />
insurance activities of Dexia group. Between 2002 and 2010, Marc was chief <strong>executive</strong> officer (CEO)<br />
of Dexia’s Swiss reinsurance subsidiary, Eurco Rück AG. Marc Troch began his professional career in<br />
1984 at ING. Since, he worked in different functions at IMI Bank and Fortis Bank in Luxemburg. Marc<br />
Troch studied economic, political and social sciences in Brussels.<br />
