American Culture Series II (ACSII)<br />

1493 - 1875<br />

The 5,600 titles in the Series II collection represent what are considered to be fundamental research materials in<br />

interdisciplinary American <strong>Studies</strong> curricula. The titles in American Culture Series II include all those in American<br />

Culture Series I. This larger collection also expands the pre-1806 offerings and extends the series through 1875.<br />

Selected and compiled in the mid-1950s by the Committee on Microfilm Bibliography of the American <strong>Studies</strong><br />

Association, the series includes information on American education, religion, pacifism, feminism, the city, the history<br />

of science and many other subjects of importance to American historiography. Categorized by discipline for<br />

optimum research use, the collection is available in its entirety or in 12 separate units:<br />
