Einführung
Diese Installations- und Serviceanleitung richtet sich an Personen (Elektrofachkräfte,
Servicetechniker), die mit der Installation und der Wartung der LED-Leuchte „Lucid
arena“ beauftragt sind. Diese Personen müssen mit allen die Elektrotechnik
betreffenden Vorschriften vertraut sein und diese in jedem Fall befolgen. Diese
Anleitung ist nicht für Anwender ohne spezielle Fachkenntnisse geeignet.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die LED-Leuchte der Serie Lucid arena sind Geräte für den professionellen Einsatz in
Industriehallen und zur Objektbeleuchtung im Außenbereich. Sie dienen zur
Ausleuchtung von Arbeits-, Lager- und Wegbereichen.
Die Installation und Wartung der Geräte ist ausschließlich elektrotechnischem
Fachpersonal vorbehalten.
Bei Fragen zum Umgang mit den Leuchten, die in dieser Anleitung nicht beantwortet
werden, wenden Sie sich bitte an:

Anforderungen der europäischen Richtlinien.
Typenschilder
Zur genauen Identifizierung finden Sie Angaben zu Modell/Artikelnummer auf den
Typenschild der Leuchte. Notieren Sie diese Angaben, um sie bei Fragen oder Ersatzteilbestellungen
zur Verfügung zu haben.

Sicherheitsmaßnahmen
Gefahr durch elektrischen Strom
• Installieren Sie das Netzteil immer nur in einem dafür vorgesehenen
Stromnetz.
• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich das integrierte Netzteil zur
Spannungsversorgung der Leuchte.
• Trennen Sie die Leuchte vom Stromnetz und von allen anderen Geräten,
wenn ein Defekt auftritt.
• Öffnen Sie das Leuchtengehäuse nicht, ein Austausch des Leuchtmittels ist
nicht vorgesehen!
• Sorgen Sie dafür, dass nur qualifiziertes Fachpersonal (Elektrotechniker) mit
der Installation und Wartung der Leuchte beauftragt ist.
• Wenn der gefahrlose Betrieb eines Gerätes nicht mehr mit Sicherheit
gewährleistet ist, müssen Sie es außer Betrieb setzen und gegen
unbeabsichtigtes Inbetriebsetzen sichern.
Ein gefahrloser Betrieb ist z.B. nicht mehr möglich,
– wenn Leuchte, Netzteil oder Zuleitungen sichtbar beschädigt sind,
– wenn Gegenstände eingedrungen sind,
Bitte beachten Sie: Im Lieferumfang der Lucid Arena ist keine
Anschlussklemme. Bitte verwenden Sie eine adäquate Anschlussklemme, die
den üblichen Sicherheitsrichtlinien entspricht.
Installation
• Die in dieser Anleitung beschriebenen Installationsmaßnahmen dürfen
ausschließlich durch geschultes Fachpersonal ausgeführt werden. In jedem
Fall sind die einschlägigen Vorschriften der Elektrotechnik zu beachten und
einzuhalten.
• Führen Sie ausschließlich die in dieser Anleitung beschriebenen
Wartungsarbeiten durch. Alle darüber hinausgehenden Arbeiten können zu
Personenschäden, Sachschäden oder Schäden am Gerät führen.
• Sorgen Sie bei allen Arbeiten an der Decke, an Masten oder an
anderen hochgelegenen Stellen für einen sicheren Stand. Benutzen Sie nur
Sicherheitsleitern oder entsprechend sichere Installationshilfsmittel . Sorgen
Sie ggf. für eine Absturzsicherung.

Produktbeschreibung
Modelle
Die LED-Leuchten der Serie Lucid arena wird komplett mit passendem Netzteil zum
Betrieb für eine Leuchte geliefert. Der Anschluss der Leuchte erfolgt mit einem
3-adrigen ummantelten Anschlusskabel, das auf den Leuchtenbetrieb abgestimmt ist.
Die Leuchtmittel sind wartungsfrei.
Alle Leuchten können mit dem Tragebügel z. B. an Wänden und Decken, sowie deren
Trägerkonstruktionen befestigt werden. Die überaus zuverlässige Leuchte
besitzt eine durchschnittliche Lebensdauer von 60.000 Stunden.
Leuchtstärken
Die Leuchtstärke des Modells Lucid arena entspricht etwa einem 500Watt
Hallogenstrahler, jedoch bei einer erheblich geringeren Stromaufnahme. Die Leuchte ist
speziell für Anwendungen im Hallen- und Objektbereich entwickelt.
Vormontage
Nach dem Auspacken der Leuchte die seitlichen Klemmschrauben des Bügels mit einem
Innensechskantschlüssel 5mm lösen und den Bügel senkrecht stellen.
Bitte darauf achten, das das Anschlusskabel nicht zwischen Bügel und Kühlkörper
eingeklemmt wird. Danach den Bügel wieder fest anziehen.

Temperaturmesspunkt (tc)
Die maximale Temperatur von 80°C darf an der Markierung wie im Bild gezeigt nicht
überschritten werden. Durch die Einhaltung der maximalen Temperatur am tc-Punkt
wird sichergestellt, dass sich kein Bauteil unzulässig erwärmt. Bei zu hoher Temperatur
ist für ausreichend Kühlung zu sorgen oder die Leuchte Spannungsfrei zu schalten.

Temperaturkontrollpunkt (tc)

Montage
• LED-Leuchte an der gewünschten Position waagerecht montieren.
• Min. zwei Befestigungsschrauben mit 6mm Durchmesser für die
Befestigung des Leuchtenbügels verwenden.
• Der Stromanschluß erfolgt über ein 1m langes flexibles Kabel. Das
Anschlußkabel hat lose Enden und muss über eine zusätzliche Klemmbox
(nicht enthalten) angeschlossen werden, diese Klemmbox muss der Schutzart
der Leuchte ensprechen. Gegebenenfalls die Kabelenden mit Aderendhülsen
versehen.
• Die Erdung der LED-Leuchte erfolgt über das grün-gelbe Anschlusskabel.
• Nach der Ausrichtung der LED-Leuchte alle Schrauben fest anziehen und
regelmäßig, mindestens 1 x im Jahr prüfen.
• Beim Ausrichten der LED-Leuchte die Netzzuleitung nicht beschädigen.
Reinigung - Wartung - Hinweise
• Alle Teile des Gerätes sind wartungsfrei
• Nur mit mitgelieferten Netzteil verwenden!
• Das LED-Modul darf nicht geöffnet werden!
• Zur Reinigung empfiehlt sich ein feuchtes Tuch
• Zur Reinigung keine Reinigungsmittel verwenden
• Beschädigte Kabel sofort durch einwandfreie neue Kabel ersetzen

Gewährleistungszeit
1. Die Gewährleistung beträgt 2 Jahre, sofern beim Kaufvertrag keine
Garantieverlängerung gegen Aufpreis abgeschlossen wurde. Sie beginnt mit der
Auslieferung an den Endverbraucher.
2. Zur Geltendmachung eines Gewährleistungsanspruches ist der Kaufbeleg, aus
dem das Liefer- bzw. Kaufdatum ersichtlich ist, vorzulegen. Bei Beanspruchung
einer Gewährleistung ist das Gerät an Ihren Fachhändler oder an folgende
Anschrift einzusenden:

3. Von der Gewährleistung sind alle Konstruktions-, Material und
Fabrikationsfehler abgedeckt.
4. Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind alle Fehler und Mängel, die auf
die folgenden Punkte zurückzuführen sind:
a) Nichtbeachtung der Bedienungsanleitung und der Sicherheitshinweise.
b) Natürliche Abnutzung.
c) Äußere Einwirkungen, z.B. Transportschäden, Beschädigungen durch Stoß-,
Schlag- oder Überhitzung sowie chemische oder elektrochemische
Einwirkungen wie z.B. von Wasser, Säuren oder nicht bestimmungsgemäßen
Gebrauch.
d) Reparaturen oder Abänderungen die durch nicht autorisierte dritte Personen
vorgenommen wurden.
e) Verwendung ungeeigneter Zubehörteile.
f) Des Weiteren ausgeschlossen sind: Schäden durch unsachgemäße
Behandlung, Montage bzw. Wartung der Leuchte (siehe Montageanweisung)
Schäden auf Grund von höherer Gewalt, von Feuer oder von Vandalismus
sowie Unfallschäden.
5. Innerhalb der Gewährleistungszeit auftretende Fehler beseitigt LEiDs für Sie
nach Absprache mit dem Fachhändler. Dies geschieht entweder durch
Instandsetzung oder Ersatz des betreffenden Teiles. Ausgewechselte Teile
werden Eigentum von der LEiDs GmbH & Co. KG. Weitergehende Ansprüche,
gleich welcher Art, insbesondere Schadenersatzansprüche, sind
ausgeschlossen.
6. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:
a) Kosten für die Demontage / Montage der defekten bzw. reparierten Leuchte
b) Kosten für die Rücksendung der defekten Leuchte an LeiDs
7. LEiDs LED-Leuchten unterliegen einer kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung im
Sinne des technischen Fortschritts. Aus diesem Grund muss im Fall einer
Reparatur oder eines Austausches die reparierte bzw. Ersatzleuchte in ihrer
Ausführung der Originalausführung der reklamierten Leuchte nicht
entsprechen, sondern kann gegebenenfalls in ihren Gebrauchseigen-schaften
gleich- bzw. höherwertig sein. LEiDs behält sich das Recht auf Änderungen der

Garantiefristen, Festpreisregelungen und –bedingungen ohne vorherige
Ankündigung vor. Garantien mit gültiger Registrierung vor dem Zeitpunkt der
Änderung sind davon jedoch nicht betroffen. LEiDs behält sich das Recht vor,
die abschließende Entscheidung hinsichtlich der Gültigkeit eines
Garantieanspruchs zu treffen.

Diese Bedienungsanleitung enthält die erforderlichen Informationen für die
bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung.
Die Kenntnis und das Befolgen der in dieser Bedienungsanleitung enthaltenen
Anweisungen sind Vorraussetzung für die gefahrlose Verwendung sowie
für die Sicherheit bei Betrieb. Diese Bedienungsanleitung kann nicht jeden
denkbaren Einsatz berücksichtigen. Die LED-Leuchte ist für die Verwendung im

Introduction
This Installation and Service Guide is for people (electricians, service technicians), who
are responsible for the installation and maintenance of the LED lamp "Lucid arena”.
These people must be familiar with all the relevant electrical regulations and adhere to
them in all cases. This guide is not suitable for users without aforementioned
knowledge.
Intended Application
The LED lamp series “Lucid arena“ is a luminaire for professional use in industrial
buildings and outdoor applications. They are used to illumination of workshop, storage,
corridor and footpath.
The installation and maintenance of the device is reserved exclusively for electrical
technicians.

satisfies the requirements of the European Union Directives.
Nameplate
For precise identification, you will find information on model / item number on the
nameplate of the lamp. Write down this information when you have questions or when
spare parts need to be ordered.

Safety Precautions
Risk of electricity
• Connect the “power supply“ (transformer) to the appropriate power source
from the mains.
• Use only the integrated “power supply“ to supply power to the lamp.
• Unplug the lamp from the mains or from any other device if a malfunction
occurs.
• Do not open the Lucid Arena as a replacement of the light source is not
planned and is not provided!
• Make sure only qualified personnel (electricians) are responsible for
installation and maintenance of the lamp.
• If the safe operation of a device is not ensured according to the safety
regulations, you should turn off the lamp and ensure that no accidental
operation of the lamp is possible.
Safe operation is for example no longer possible,
– if the lamp power supply or cables are visibly damaged
– if foreign objects have entered into the lamp.
Please note: A terminal clamp is not in the scope of supply of the lamp. Please use an
adequate terminal clamp that corresponds to the safety standards for installation.
Installation
• The installation steps described in this guide should only be carried out
by trained personnel and according to the local electrical safety standards.
• Perform only the maintenance work described in this guide. Any further
attempts to repair or adjustment of the lamp could lead to physical injury,
property damage and damage to the lamp.
• For all work carried out on ceilings, high poles or any other high mounted
positions, the adequate safety ladders or the appropriate installation
machinery should be used in accordance with the safety standards.
• If necessary, a safety net should be mounted.

Production Description
Models
The LED lamp series “Lucid arena” comes complete with matching power supply for
driving the light source. The connection of the lamp is done via a 3-wire jacketed
connection cable that suits the operation demands of the lamp. The series “Lucid arena”
are maintenance free. All lamps can be mounted with the bracket construction, which
allows for mounting on walls and ceilings. The reliable “Lucid arena” lamp has an
average life span of 60,000 hours.
Luminosity
The luminosity of the model “Lucid arena” compares to a 500 watt Halogen flood light,
but at a significantly low power consumption. The lamp is designed for application in
warehouses and commercial properties.
Pre-assembly
After unpacking the lamp , the screws of the bracket clamp should be loosened with an
“Allen key” 5mm and the bracket should be placed in vertical position. Please make sure
that the cable is not pinched between the bracket and heat sink. Tighten the screws
securely when the bracket is vertical.

Temperature control point (tc)
The maximum temperature of 80 ° C may not be exceeded as the mark shown on the
picture. By complying with the maximum temperature control at the tc point, this
ensures that no components will be overheated and effect the performance of the
lamp. At high temperature area sufficient cooling should be provided. In case this
temperature is reached, the lamp has to be turned off immediately.

Installation
• The LED lamp should be mounted horizontally at the desired position.
• Minimum of 2 mounting-screws with a diameter of 6mm should be used for
the mounting of the mounting bracket on the surface(wall/ceiling).
• The power connection is via a 1m long flexible cable.
The cable has loose ends and must have an additional terminal box (not
included). If necessary, the cable ends should be safe guarded with ferrules.
• The „earthing“ of the lamp is done via the green and yellow cable.
• When the ideal angle of orientation of the LED lamp has been approved, all
screws should be tightened and should be checked at least once a year and, if
necessary, tightened again.
• When adjusting the LED lamp, precaution should be taken that no damage
is done to the power cable.
Cleaning - Maintenance- Information
• All parts of the device are maintenance free.
• Use only with supplied “power supply“!
• The LED module should not be opened!
• For cleaning we recommend a damp cloth.
• No cleaning agents should be used.
• Damaged cable should be replaced immediately with new cable.

Warranty
1. The warranty is valid for 2 years, unless an additional warranty extension was
agreed at the time of purchase. The warranty extension is an additional service
with a cost factor.
The warranty starts on the date of delivery to the end customer.
2. To assert a warranty claim, the purchase receipt showing date of delivery and
date of purchase has to be submitted. When warranty claim is filed, the
defective unit has to be returned to your dealer or directly to: LEiDs GmbH &

3. The warranty covers all material and construction errors.
4. The warranty excludes all errors and defects occurring due to the following
points:
a) Not following the instruction guide.
b) Natural wear and tear.
c) External influences, for example, transport damage, damage due to
shock impact, overheating, damage caused by chemicals, damage caused
by electrochemical reactions, eg. through water, acids and improper use.
d) Repairing and modification done by unauthorized person.
e) Use of inappropriate accessories.
f) Furthermore, excluded are:
Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation and improper
maintenance (see installation instructions), damage due to force majeure,
fire, vandalism and any further accidents
5. Within the warranty period, LEiDs will eliminate any errors that occur, this will
be done after consultation with the dealer. The malfunctioning parts will be
repaired or replaced. Exchanged parts will automatically become the property
of LEiDs GmbH& Co.KG. Further claims, of whatever kind, in particular claims
for financial damages are not included.
6. Excluded from the warranty:
a) Costs for demounting and remounting of the lamp.
b) Costs for sending the defective lamp to LEiDs.
7. LEiDS LED-Lamps are subject to continuous development according to the
technical development of the LEDs and power supply. For this reason, in case of
a warranty repair claim, the situation could arise that the original parts or the
original lamp is no longer available, in such cases LEiDs reserves the right to
provide parts or lamps that fulfill the same function or provide parts and
lamps that perform better than the originals.
LEiDs, legally reserves the rights to change the warranty period and the fixed
price conditions without any prior notice.
With valid registration are not effected and when the new
amendments are introduced, LEiDs reserve the legal rights to make the final
decision if a warranty case is valid or not.

implementation and operation of the lamp.

would like to point out this guide is not a part of any prior or existing legal agreement
or commitment or any other legal relationship.
