1926 PTHS Girls Basketball Champs
The 1926 season ended with five out of six games in favor of Townsend.
Much praise must be given to Miss Hodges, coach, and to the whole squad
for their faithful work.
Due to the fact that Clallam county girls could not play out of their county, it
was hard to schedule games, but Townsend won the championship of
Jefferson County.
The best match games of the season were those with Quilcene. Both teams
put all their reserve into these games and not until the final whistle blew was
anyone certain who was to be the victor. The one defeat of the season was
at Coupeville. This was the first defeat in many years from the Island school.
