Equestrian Australia (EA) no longer offers day insurance. You must be a current
financial member of Waroula, EA or a Restricted Member if you wish to enter in any
Waroula event/competition. Therefore Waroula is now offering a Restricted
Membership for those who do not want to become a full member of the club. This
membership is valid for one event/competition only and does not entitle you to voting
rights or cheaper nominations.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. All riders compete at their own risk. Waroula Equestrian accepts no responsibility for any
injury to horses, riders or spectators nor to any damage to a competitor’s equipment or
property.
2. All tests available on the EFA National Website: www.efanational.com
3. Riders may compete in a maximum of 3 tests at 2 consecutive levels per day per horse
4. One rider per horse is permitted at any event, unless in exceptional circumstances as per EFA
competition rule 1.8.
5. All competitors are required to sign and submit the ‘Release of Waiver of Liability’ form prior
to competing.
6. FULL PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRY. Draw will be emailed and/or mailed to
competitors and published on www.waroula.com.au
7. All protests are to be lodged to the committee with a $50.00 fee no later than 30 minutes after
the completion of the event. If the committee considers the protest to be frivolous then the
money shall be forfeited. The committees decision is final
8. The competition will be run under EFA and FEI Rules. CORRECT ATTIRE IS REQUIRED.
9. Helmets must be worn by all competitors when mounted. Stewards and Judges have Waroula’s
approval to ask for verification of standards for insurance purposes.
10. Riders must take full responsibility for the condition of their saddlery. This is a condition of
acceptance of entries. Gear check is not a SAFETY check merely a check to ensure legal
saddlery is used.
11. Scratchings will be accepted up to 9am on the day after the entries close. Refund of entry fees
(minus administration costs) after that time will not be made without a vet certificate or a
doctor’s certificate
12. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter the program.
13. If there are less than 3 competitors in a class only 1 st prize money will be paid.
14. Waroula classes are restricted to financial yearly members of Waroula Equestrians only.
15. Junior classes are restricted to riders 18 years or younger.
16. PREPARATORY EVENTS - are limited to any Associate horse of no higher than Preliminary
level. Any rider that has competed at Elementary or above (irrespective of horse ridden) must
ride HC in these tests.
17. NO DOGS are permitted on the grounds.
18. A fully attended prize giving is important to the sponsors and the committee, therefore prize
money will not be given out unless present or under exceptional circumstances that are
accepted by the committee. No prize money will be forwarded on.

apply nor the EFA accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders,
grounds, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
All competitors please note that swabbing may occur at any events conducted by this club.

NOTE: Section 74 of the Trade Practices Act ("the Act") implies a warranty of due care and skill into contracts for the supply of services to consumers, as
defined in the Act. To the extent that the warranty applies to any contract relevant to the Release and Waiver of Liability, it cannot be excluded.
Subject to that warranty, if applicable and IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to compete, officiate, observe, work for, or participate in any way in the
EVENT(S), EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED, for himself/herself, his/her personal representatives, heirs and next of kin:
1. Acknowledges, agrees and represents that he/she further agrees and warrants that, if at any time, he/she feels anything to be unsafe, he/she will
immediately advise the officials of such and refuse to participate further in the EVENT(S).
2. HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE the club/coach, participants, EFA and its state bodies or any
subdivision thereof, officials, volunteers, medical personnel, any persons, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners and lessees of premises used to conduct
the EVENT(S), premises and event inspectors, underwriters, consultants and others who give recommendations, directions, or instructions or engage in
risk evaluation or loss control activities regarding the premises or EVENT(S) and each of them, their directors, officers, agents and employees, all for the
purposes as herein referred to as "Releasees", FROM ALL LIABILITY, TO THE UNDERSIGNED, his/her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and
next of kin FOR ANY AND ALL LOSS OR DAMAGE, AND ANY CLAIM OR DEMANDS THEREFORE ON ACCOUNT OF INJURY TO THE
PERSON OR PROPERTY OR RESULTING IN DEATH OF THE UNDERSIGNED ARISING OUT OR RELATED TO THE EVENT(S), WHETHER
CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
3. HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releasees and each of them FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY,
DAMAGE, OR COST they may incur arising out of or related to the EVENT(S), WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES
OR OTHERWISE.
4. HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILTY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE arising out of or related to
the EVENT(S) whether caused by the NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or otherwise.
5. HEREBY acknowledges that THE ACTIVITIES THE EVENT(S) ARE VERY DANGEROUS and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or
property damage. Each of the UNDERSIGNED also expressly acknowledges that INJURIES RECEIVED MAY BE COMPOUNDED OR INCREASED
BY NEGLIGENT RESCUE/MEDICAL OPERATIONS OR PROCEDURES OF THE RELEASEES.
6. Hereby agrees that this Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement extends to all acts of negligence by the Releasees,
INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE RESCUE OPERATIONS and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State/Territory in
which the EVENT(S) is/are conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full
legal force and effect.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS
TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY
WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATIURE TO BE A COMPLETE AND
