equipment. Displaying information on communication, audio and

For maximum comfort, the high-performance climate control system
offers several functions, including a "silence" mode (soft button).
And with the adjustable cruise control and speed limiter on the
steering wheel, long journeys become much less tiresome. The
speed limiter function helps you keep to speed limits. The clear
and complete display gives you all the information you need, while
controls under the steering wheel put all the main functions at
your fingertips, without needing to take your hands off the wheel.
The door mirrors are adjusted electrically and fold in automatically
when the engine stops, and are fitted with side indicators.
The front windscreen wipers are activated and adjust their wiping
speed depending on how heavily it is raining. A light sensor
automatically activates the headlights at dusk or when you enter
a parking garage or tunnel.
The integrated TomTom ® satellite navigation system is programmed
with South African maps. 3D colour navigation is perfectly integrated
into the dash screen, and the multimedia system is activated either
by voice or by using the central control panel.

For keyless starting by remote control and locking/unlocking of the doors and boot. To fire up the engine insert
the card and press the 'Start /Stop' button.
Bi-Xenon headlights give an intense beam, for a better view of road contours and verges.
Powerful rear lights with LED ensure that you’re perfectly visible in traffic. Even in bad weather or with dazzle,
each time you brake it will be immediately obvious to other drivers – an extra element of safety. And to make
parking manoeuvres easier, the parking sensors alert you to any obstacles in front or behind.
The Renault alarm, which is compatible with the electronic system, protects the car against attempted breakins
and detects any movement inside of the vehicle.
For maximum protection of passengers the seats are fitted with active headrests that reduce the risk of whiplash
in the case of a rear-end collision.
A child seat can be fitted to either side of the back seat thanks to the installed ISOFIX child seat mounting points.

from the quality finish as well as the wealth of refinements. The leather steering wheel with stylish stitching, the
chrome gear knob, the genuine aluminium trim on the dashboard and on the door panel all underline the exclusive
nature of the vehicle.
In combination with the 4Control chassis, the Laguna Coupé shows its sports credentials with aluminium accents

BOSE ® SOUND SYSTEM
Signature sound by Bose ® - Everyone who travels in the
new Laguna Coupé will enjoy the outstanding sound quality.
The engineers at Renault and Bose ® have combined their
talents to develop a unique customised sound system that
is perfectly adapted to the acoustics of the car. More than
a thousand measurements were taken to create the precise
acoustic profile of the cabin. This research has allowed
us to design bespoke audio equipment based on a powerful
10-way component system of compact Bose ® speakers,
controlled by a digital amplifier with six equaliser channels.

The central console provides useful storage space, and the generous 423 litre boot is
spacious enough to carry two golf bags. With the Super-Fold, simply press a button
in the boot to fold the rear seat by 1/3, 2/3 or completely to give maximum flat loading
space.
The rear seat provides two full passenger spaces fitted with adjustable headrests, so
that two can travel in safety, while enjoying a high level of comfort.
Access to the rear seats is also controlled electrically at the touch of a button.

PERFORMANCE
A RANGE OF TECHNICALLY
ADVANCED FEATURES
HIGH-PERFORMANCE V6 ENGINE.
To achieve exceptional performance, the new Laguna Coupé is equipped with a 3.5 V6 petrol
engine which is synonymous with performance, economy and pleasure. This engine is at the
very top of its class delivering an astounding 177 kW. It sets itself apart, with a stunningly
smooth, linear torque of 330 Nm that allows dynamic take-off, continuous acceleration and
lightning response.
The 3.5 V6 engine is combined with an automatic 6-Speed gearbox that is both precise and
convenient, giving you a choice between sequential mode and a fully automatic drive. This
highly developed powerplant enables the new Laguna Coupé to deliver a stunning standard
of performance - with acceleration up to 100 kph in 7.4 seconds.
ABS with EBD
ABS keeps the wheels from fully locking up
during emergency braking to allow the driver
to maintain steering control. EBD is a
complementary system embedded in ABS.
It continually manages break-force distribution
between the front and rear wheels.
Sensors on each wheel constantly monitor
rotation speed. As soon as one of the wheels
starts to lock up, a central controller triggers
a hydraulic compensation system. EBD uses
the hydraulic system and ABS sensors to adjust
braking between axles.

DYNAMIC SENSATION WITH MAXIMUM
SAFETY.
With its 4-wheel steering, the 4Control chassis
gives you a unique sense of precision,
responsiveness and handling.
The 4Control system acts on the steering angle
of the rear wheels relative to your speed. Below
60 kph (1) the rear wheels point in the opposite
direction to those at the front. So, the turning
circle is reduced, meaning easier manoeuvring,
and improved handling on winding roads.
Above 60 kph (2) the rear wheels point in the
same direction as the front wheels. When
cornering, this means the rear tyres are
perfectly aligned for the direction in which
you’re turning, and steering wheel movement
is decreased.
This makes the new Laguna Coupé highly
stable when driving round bends. For maximum
safety, the 4Control computer is also linked
to the ESP and ABS electronic systems.
Because it can recognise emergency situations
immediately, it adjusts the steering angle for
the rear wheels instantaneously, so you can
safely make quick avoidance manoeuvres.
ESP
The Electronic Stability Programme with CSV
understeer control automatically corrects the
vehicle’s trajectory when detecting a skid,
under conditions such as understeering,
oversteering, emergency avoidance, or even
a wheel on a verge. When the actual vehicle
trajectory is found to diverge from the set
vehicle trajectory, the controller adjusts the
engine torque and applies selective braking
on one or more wheels to restore the set
trajectory.
EBA
Emergency Brake Assist reduces stopping
distances by automatically applying the car's
full braking power in an emergency situation.
When the controller detects an emergency
situation (rapid action on brake pedal), it applies
maximum available brake power and holds it
until the pedal is fully released. The system
also switches to ABS regulation. The result is
vehicle braking as it would have been applied
by an expert driver.

The sport kit and special alloy wheels
emphasise the sporty character of the new
Laguna Coupé. The kit consists of special
front and rear bumpers as well as two
mudflaps and side skirts.
The Laguna Coupé can be fitted with a
detachable RDSO towbar that can be
removed without tools in a matter of
seconds. Combined with a bicycle carrier
mounted on the towbar, it can carry between
one and three bicycles.

Child seats for children between 9 months
to 4 years. Attached with a 5-point harness
and “ISOFIX upper mounting” belt. Easy to
install due to the Isofix hook locking system.
Laguna branded, this sturdy mat fits
perfectly into the boot, and is durable
enough to provide your vehicle with all the
protection it needs. The boot cargo net
holds small objects in place and allows for
additional boot storage, and is fitted using
the original vehicle fastenings.
The safety window film increases the
windows’ resistance to impacts and offers
added protection against car-jacking.
