Paul Revere riding boots
Paul Revere's boot has a natural color cuff of heavy, supple glove leather. When the boot comes off the
bench, the cuff is turned all the way down. There is plenty of leather cuff for you to easily roll up the
cuff to whatever height you desire.
The object is to avoid any gap below your breeches or any show of breeches cuff or stocking. The
functional cuff also may be turned up to protect a rider's knees and prevent the entrance of rainwater,
etc
Left, right and stright
The most important technical innovation was the re-introduction in the 1790’s of rights and lefts. Shoes
had to been made straights since the beginning of heals in 1600.

Now with a return to the flat shoes, it was less difficult to make a mirror-image pair of lasts and with the
development of the pantograph in the early nineteenth century, rights and lefts gradually ousted
straights though women were slower to adopt them than men.
Rees in 1813, and subsequent authors for many years discussed the pros and cons; “if the wearer do not
tread even, the shoe must wear much on one side”; and flat-footed people found rights and lefts very
uncomfortable, not to mention those with gout, rheumatism and corns.
Regimental standing orders for the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry in 1800 were: “Soldiers will wear
their boots on alternate feet on alternate days.
Return Policy:
We will sincerely do our best to give you the proper fit. Returned shoes must be in saleable condition.
While trying on a new pair of Fugawee shoes, please wear them on a carpet or soft footing in case the
shoe needs to be returned for a different size or refund. Just imaginehow you would react if you
received shoes with holes in the latchets or wear on the soles.
Footware returned for size exchange or refund MUST
Be in like new condition, no scuff marks on the soles, with no holes in the leather and it has to be
purchased from Fugawee Corp. If you purchased you're footware from a dealer you need to contact the
dealer you bought them from for size exchange or refund
The return should be within 90 days. Please put a note in the returned shoes of the size you wish to
have with a copy of the invoice/invoice number (just call if you need it).
The exchange will be made and we will pay the postage back to you if it is a USA address. If the return is
for a refund, we will send that out as soon as the shoes have been accepted.
If the return is not received within the 90 days a 15% re-stocking charge, for regular stock items, will be
deducted from the refund. Special orders require a 50% deposit, and will be paid for before shipping to
the customer.
There will be refunds for special order item only if there is a defect. Special orders otherwise have a
50% re-stocking fee if the office approves the refund.
