Worlds of Work
Year 10 refugee students from Monday 25th June to Friday the 29th
of June will head into the city to learn about work in Melbourne.
The program is called Worlds of Work and is run by The Foundation
for Young Australians. In the city they will visit businesses and workplaces.
We wish them well in this adventure.

Future Options Evening
Thank you to the Year 10 students and parents who attended our
Future Options Evening on June 5th. Participants listened to the
VCAL Coordinator from Joe Pollock, Executive Manager Ringwood
Trade Training Facility, Helen Doherty VET Coordinator and Janette
Bennie, VCAL Coordinator from Ringwood Secondary College. If
you any questions about the information do not hesitate to contact
Mrs Allison. A reminder: to attend the VCE Information Session in
July (info to be sent home soon).
Year 12 TIS
Year 12 students visited Deakin University on Friday 22nd June for
the Tertiary Information Session that provided details of the VTAC
application process for TAFE and university in 2013. The students
had the opportunity to visit an expo held by many tertiary institutions
followed by a tour of the university by current Deakin students.
Years 10-12 Open Days
All students (Years 10-12) have been provided with a copy of this
year’s Open Days (apologies for the omission of Deakin University-
August 26th), which outlines all key dates. It is vital for students to
take advantage of these days to investigate career and course options.

La Trobe University Folio Preparation Program
La Trobe university (Bendigo campus) is offering a 2-day folio preparation
program for Year 11 and 12s wishing to enter university.
Gain the skills required to build an impressive portfolio and be able
to approach university pre-selection with confidence. The 2-day
program will have course specific interview tips and other information
to maximise your chances of success. The workshops target
studio arts, fine art, media studies, and visual communication students.
