WHAT IS OPERATION CRACKDOWN
Operation Crack Down is a partnership initiative
to tackle
ROAD SAFETY and ANTI SOCIAL DRIVING
in Sussex.
It allows the general public to report instances
of anti social driving via a web portal or
dedicated phone number and can be seen as
an accessible ‘mobile’ Neighbourhood Watch
scheme.
HISTORY
November 2006 ACC Jeremy Paine
through public consultation meetings
identified that anti social driving has a
significant impact on individuals and
neighbourhoods. The impact is not just
related to road safety issues but can
effect the perceptions of crime and
disorder and confidence levels.
