Rosskopf & Partner Group – Now 25 Years of Success in the Market
Helmut Rosskopf’s Joinery 1984 Production – Rosskopf & Partner Group 2009
The Rosskopf & Partner Group in Obermehler, Germany, celebrated its
25 th Anniversary on June 1, 2009.
From humble beginnings, on June 1, 1984, the master carpenter, Helmut Rosskopf,
became independent with his own carpentry shop in Gnadenthal near Limburg on the
Lahn River in the German state of Hessen. Only four years later, he met Martin Funck,
and with his cooperation, Rosskopf & Partner GmbH was founded. In May, 1991, the
first branch was opened in Hennersdorf near Chemnitz in Saxony. Over the next few
years, the Hennersdorf location became the strategic company headquarters for the
processing of solid surface material. In the summer of 1997, a third location in Thuringia
was added, and in July, 2000, in the industrial park near the Obermehler / Schlotheim
airport, Rosskopf moved into a new facility. In May, 2002, the three independent companies
merged to become Rosskopf & Partner AG with its headquarters in Obermehler,
Thuringia.
In 2002, Rosskopf & Partner AG became the strategic partner for the solid surface material
HIMACS® (product and registered trademark of LG). After an increase in capital in
2007, the Dekker Zevenhuizen B.V. acquired a minority holding in Rosskopf & Partner
AG. With these benchmarks, the course was set to secure cooperative growth as a
leading European distribution group. In autumn, 2007, Rosskopf & Partner AG began a
partnership with the Spanish world market leader Cosentino, whose quartz material
sheets of the brand Silestone® (product and registered trademark of Cosentino) could
be marketed immediately. At the same time, an important foundation was being laid for
future corporate development with further investments in the Obermehler and Hennersdorf
facilities.
At the end of 2008, Rosskopf & Partner Austria GmbH was then founded, which now
serves as the marketing office for the Rosskopf & Partner Group in Austria.
That makes the Rosskopf & Partner Group one of the largest European processors of
premium surface materials, such as solid surface material, quartz material, porcelain
ceramics and glass ceramics. With an export quota of 56% in 2008 and a constantly

growing turnover during the past several years, the Rosskopf & Partner Group today is
well positioned for the future.
Currently, sales and marketing progresses in three different business areas:
In the area of architecture and handcraft, the Rosskopf & Partner Group is increasingly
called upon by top architects and well-known major enterprises to provide solutions for
challenging designs. Rosskopf & Partner’s highly qualified engineering team provides
the foundation to develop technically perfect projects to the complete satisfaction of
their customers, such as the recent Porsche Museum project in Stuttgart or the Westfield
Shopping Centre in London.
For the area of kitchen and bath, Rosskopf & Partner established an external work force
in 2008 to market its own product brand lavanto® und xsyro®. Worktops and wash tables,
as well as sinks, basins, shower trays and bathtubs made of solid surface materials,
quartz material and porcelain ceramics are offered in the most current modern
forms and colours based on the latest trends.
In the area of quartz material distribution, Rosskopf & Partner AG is readily available to
stone masons as a reliable distributer of raw sheets of the quartz material
Silestone® (product and registered trademark of Cosentino). The focal point of the work
for cabinet makers and carpenters lies in the distribution of raw sheets and semifinished
products made of the solid surface material HIMACS® (product and registered
trademark of LG). If desired, Rosskopf & Partner AG provides support with technical
expertise to all customers they supply with raw materials.
