EVENTS Key speakers lined up for electroanalysis event New developments in potentiometric electroanalysis: towards lower levels of detection and higher precision ORGANISED BY THE RSC Electroanalytical Group, this conference will be held in St Mary’s College and the Department of Chemistry, University of Durham on 31 March and 1 April 2004. This conference will demonstrate a new aspect of ion-selective electrodes (ISE), which will permit their application at lower levels of ions than previously possible. The keynote speakers are: Prof Eric Bakker (Auburn University, USA) – ‘Ion-selective electrodes with low detection limits: the state of the art’ Prof Erno Lindner (University of Memphis, USA) Forensic Analysis 2004 University of Lincoln, UK, 20–22 June 2004 FORENSIC ANALYSIS 2004 will present recent developments in forensic investigations including the use of forensic analysis in terrorism, human identification, fire, arson and explosives, and instrumentation. Keynote speakers: Diane France (Colorado State University, USA) Dieter Deforce (University of Gent, Belgium) Roger Ide (Forensic Science Investigations, UK) Peter White (University of Lincoln, UK).
