Institute of Food Research. Died 12 August 2003, aged 64.
● Mr Joseph Holgate Cooper CChem FRSC – Retired headmaster,
Ripon City School. Died 29 November 2003, aged 79.
● Professor John Wynford Daniel CChem FRSC – Retired visiting
Professor of Toxicology, Queen Elizabeth College, University of London.
Died 6 October 2003, aged 76.

Fibres Division. Died 27 October 2003, aged 74.

of Environmental Health.
Awarded an OBE for services to environmental science.

Environmental Protection Officer, Environment Agency.
Awarded an MBE for services to environmental protection
in East Lancashire.
● Mr Colin Howard Johnson CChem FRSC
Director, Techniquest.
Awarded an OBE for services to science.
● Miss Dorothy Florence Leslie CChem FRSC
Retired. Awarded an MBE for services to the Samaritans
and to the community in Horsham, West Sussex.
● Dr Malcolm Leonard Windsor CChem FRSC
Secretary, North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organisation.
Awarded an OBE for services to salmon conservation.
