Fletcher is currently the lead for the Elastomers and Sealants Supportability Program of the Systems Support <strong>Division</strong> of the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Tuesday, October 9, 2012 Air Force Base, Ohio. In this position, he is responsible for strategic planning, coordination and execution 11:00 of the laboratory’s a.m. - 12:00 technical p.m. efforts in elastomers and sealants maintainability and supportability. Mr. Fletcher is a Duke Energy Center, recognized international expert in elastomeric materials and processes. He is the industry leader for aerospace sealants Junior and Ballroom fluid seals. D Fletcher & C, 3rd Floor currently leads the Systems Support effort in elastomer supportability and is responsible for internal and external Alan projects J. aimed Fletcher at reducing aircraft maintenance burden on the warfighter. He is a key engineer in the Special Test and Research (STAR) lab leading most of the test and evaluation projects for the lab. Mr. Fletcher received a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1981, followed by a M.S. from the University of Virginia in Materials Science and Engineering in 2009. He has chaired the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Committee on Aerospace Sealants for the last 20 years and is past chair of the SAE Committee on Aerospace Elastomers.
