Description 

Zehnder Nova is a radiator composed of flat tubes that form a solid, 

steel heating surface. In horizontal models, the flat, water-conducting 

tubes are aligned horizontally and in vertical models – vertically. Additionally, 

the flat tubes may be equipped with convection fins. The flat 

tubes of 70 x 8 mm oval cross-section are welded under pressure to 

symmetrical manifolds with a 1 mm air gap; the weld seams are practically 

imperceptible. The radiators are primed, coated with powder 

enamel of desired colour, and are improved following the requirements 

of DIN 55900. The heat capacity is tested in accordance with DIN EN 

442 standard. The radiator complies with the requirements of the 

GUV (German Accident Insurance). Single-row and double-row models, 

models with decorative covers and with fins. 

Same side connection (left or right): for horizontal models – 2 x 1 /2“ 

(female thread), for vertical – 4 x 1 /2“ (female thread), air vent 1 /2“. Suspension 

brackets are welded to the radiator’s back surface. The radiator 

is supplied in an installation-ready package;

• other colour choice from 700-colour palette of RAL and NCS S

• high-pressure design max. 10 bar (13 bar test) 

• decorative grille for horizontal models

Description 

Zehnder Nova Completto is a Zehnder Nova radiator with a built-in 

AV 6 (Oventrop) thermal valve in its upper side section (on the left or 

on the right) and a Zehnder thermostat, connection thread size is 

M30 x 1.5 mm. 

Connections: 2 x 1 /2“ (female thread size) in the lower part of the radiator 

with an connection spacing of 50 mm. Suspension brackets are 

welded to the radiator’s back surface. 

The radiator is supplied in an installation-ready package; 

by request: 

• mounting set CVD 

• without the Zehnder thermostat

The following table shows various mounting modes for Zehnder Nova. 

The desired mounting set can be ordered by indicating the fastener name (for example, CVD Set). 

The required number of brackets will be supplied with the radiator. 

The mounting type determines the distance to the wall and the connection size. This information is included in the table. 

Cost calculation for the total number of brackets required for different radiator models is presented in a table on the following page.

Zehnder Nova radiators may be connected in series, as shown on the 

drawings above. The radiators are shipped separately, connections 

shall be performed during installation. No more than three 6000 mm 

long Zehnder Nova radiators may be connected in series. The recommended 

connecting element size is 3 /4“. 

Zehnder Nova radiators must be connected in accordance with the 

shown arrangement. When placing an order, please indicate the 

number of the desired installation arrangement. For an additional 

cost (per request). 

Attention: 

For Zehnder Nova radiators connected in series, the minimum water 

flow rate must comply with the following table: 

Horizontal construction 20 % 

Vertical construction 17 % 

For two-row Zehnder Nova models, the serial linking arrangement 

and the manner of connecting are as follows: flow – at the radiator’s 

front panel, return – facing the wall.

Determining pressure loss ΔP 

Pressure losses for the Zehnder Nova radiator are calculated by 

using the following equation: 

The pressure loss constant, being a function of the mounting type 

and height and the connection code, is taken from the following table.
