<strong>zehnder</strong> <strong>nova</strong><br />
Description<br />
Zehnder Nova is a radiator composed of flat tubes that form a solid,<br />
steel heating surface. In horizontal models, the flat, water-conducting<br />
tubes are aligned horizontally and in vertical models – vertically. Additionally,<br />
the flat tubes may be equipped with convection fins. The flat<br />
tubes of 70 x 8 mm oval cross-section are welded under pressure to<br />
symmetrical manifolds with a 1 mm air gap; the weld seams are practically<br />
imperceptible. The radiators are primed, coated with powder<br />
enamel of desired colour, and are improved following the requirements<br />
of DIN 55900. The heat capacity is tested in accordance with DIN EN<br />
442 standard. The radiator complies with the requirements of the<br />
GUV (German Accident Insurance). Single-row and double-row models,<br />
models with decorative covers and with fins.<br />
Same side connection (left or right): for horizontal models – 2 x 1 /2“<br />
(female thread), for vertical – 4 x 1 /2“ (female thread), air vent 1 /2“. Suspension<br />
brackets are welded to the radiator’s back surface. The radiator<br />
is supplied in an installation-ready package;<br />

Zehnder Nova radiators may be connected in series, as shown on the<br />
drawings above. The radiators are shipped separately, connections<br />
shall be performed during installation. No more than three 6000 mm<br />
long Zehnder Nova radiators may be connected in series. The recommended<br />
connecting element size is 3 /4“.<br />
Zehnder Nova radiators must be connected in accordance with the<br />
shown arrangement. When placing an order, please indicate the<br />
number of the desired installation arrangement. For an additional<br />
cost (per request).<br />
Attention:<br />
For Zehnder Nova radiators connected in series, the minimum water<br />
flow rate must comply with the following table:<br />
Horizontal construction 20 %<br />
Vertical construction 17 %<br />
For two-row Zehnder Nova models, the serial linking arrangement<br />
and the manner of connecting are as follows: flow – at the radiator’s<br />
front panel, return – facing the wall.<br />

Pressure losses for the Zehnder Nova radiator are calculated by<br />

The pressure loss constant, being a function of the mounting type<br />
and height and the connection code, is taken from the following table.<br />
