Satish Chandra is the Director<br />

- Advanced System Integration<br />

department in the Research<br />

and Technology (R&T) division<br />

of Cummins Technical Center<br />

(CTC). He is currently leading a team focussed on the<br />

Waste Heat Recovery efforts for on-highway heavy duty<br />

automotive application. This project builds upon the<br />

several years of prior WHR work at Cummins and is<br />

partly funded by the Department of Energy’s SuperTruck<br />

program. Mr. Chandra holds a MS in Mechanical<br />

Engineering and an MBA from Kellogg School of<br />

Management. He has extensive industry experience<br />

and has held significant roles at Cummins in the past in<br />

research, new product introduction, manufacturing quality,<br />

and, in functional leadership.<br />

Mark has a BSME from Texas<br />

A&M University. Mark worked at<br />

Southwest Research Institute for<br />

5 years overseeing a variety of<br />

projects relating to automotive<br />

engine lubricant evaluation, driveline component, and<br />

coolant evaluation, including standardized industry tests<br />

and proprietary testing.<br />

Since 1989 Mark has worked for Chevron Oronite<br />

Company in all areas related to engine lubricants,<br />

including additive technology development, engine oil<br />

formulating, field testing, industry engine lubricant tests,<br />

and proprietary engine lubricant evaluations. Mark’s<br />

work touches all areas of engine lubricant performance<br />

including wear, deposit formation, oxidation, viscosity<br />

increase, fuel economy and exhaust aftertreatment.<br />
