“Oceanair products proved invaluable in assisting heat and light control below deck, and
in turn, critical sleep patterns, computer screen usability and increasing battery charging
performance and fuel consumption. We would recommend Oceanair products for all
performance projects and we wouldn’t go round the world without them”.
“We have chosen to use
Oceanair products across
the Sunseeker range.The
innovative design and
functionality of the
Oceanair products meets
the high demands of a
company such as ours,
where style and function
are never compromised.
The boats we produce are
often based in the
Mediterranean or the
Caribbean so it is vital
that we can offer
comfortable living
interiors where the high
temperatures and harsh
UV rays can be
controlled.The Oceanair
products we use are not
only stylish but also
incredibly functional and
durable”.
Blackout Fabric
Fabric technology
Most boats have a deck hatch
over the master cabin. It has
been Oceanair’s mission since
its inception, to create the
perfect solution for a cool,
comfortable and sound night’s
sleep aboard.
Reflection
fabric
Blackout layer
100% blackout
Fifteen years of fabric research has
enabled Oceanair to offer a unique
three layer fabric system to give
100% blackout and 80% heat
reflection.
Face fabric
wipeable and
easy clean
Flyscreen Fabric
Unlike other products, Oceanair’s
flyscreen fabric has a much tighter
weave, keeping out even the
smallest of unwanted pests. Air flow
is not restricted through the fabric
so ventilation is not affected.
The flyscreen fabric is also UV
stable, extending the product’s life.
Why choose
Oceanair?
Oyster 72. Photograph courtesy of Oyster Marine.
● Extensive shaping options offer a
solution to complicated window
designs
● A comprehensive fabric range
which not only offers a wide
selection of styles to suit all design
requirements but also variety of
light transmission properties.
● Blinds can be lowered to any
position, remaining supported
and static thanks to the unique
cording system
● SKYSOL uses Oceanair’s patented
top stacking system, a
revolutionary and innovative
alternative to standard bottom
stacking blinds, where the blind is
pulled from the top rail, creating
a clean and neat appearance
when stored away
● Day and Night Blinds combine
New SKYSOL 2 hardware
● Restyled hardware resulting in
clean modern lines
● The section depth of the moving
rail has increased, eliminating
the bending forces caused by
the pleated tension system,
enabling the production of
wider blinds without risk of
bowing
● Hidden fixing system for stylish
mounting
● When the blind is fully
deployed, the new SKYSOL 2
moving rail fits snugly into the
bottom rail to reduce the visual
effect of the hardware
● New hardware colours for the
Using market leading innovation
and technology, the team of
experienced designers at Oceanair
can achieve spectacular results,
even with the most complicated of
window designs. Oceanair uses
AutoCAD to design "virtual" blind
systems, showing the blind in situ
accuracy before production starts.
Then, by using a combination of
soft pleats, guide wires, split rails
and stacking options the blind is
Light transmission
To complement the shaping ability of SKYSOL, each blind is available in an extensive range of fabrics giving varying
properties of light transmission. These fabrics can give the best combination of privacy and heat control whilst allowing
an ambient light flow for ultimate comfort.
Alternatively, fabrics can offer complete blackout properties ideal for the perfect night’s sleep.
Fabric Transparency
In addition, all fabrics have varying degrees of
transparency. This property dictates how much visibility
there is through blind fabric from the outside. This quality
is measured as a percentage, 100% being see through,
0% being total blackout.
Heat Reflection
Using fabrics which have high heat reflective properties is
an excellent way to control solar heat gain in any interior.
The fabrics in the Oceanair range have different heat
reflection properties which govern the amount of heat
that is transmitted through the fabric.
Why venetian blinds?
Superior light and
temperature control is easily
achieved with the use of the
By tilting the slats, varying degrees
of light and shade can be
achieved, reducing glare and UV
damage and helping to ensure
privacy on board.
Pleat options
1. Soft Pleat panels are of equal depth; when in the
fully raised position the pleats are level. Panels are
approximately 150-200mm (6-8”) dependent on the
stacking depth required.
2. Hard Pleat is as a Soft Pleat, plus additional rod
support within the pleat line to help maintain blind shape
and definition. Guide wires or a track system are
available to give the blind stability.
3. Gradient Soft Pleat features fabric panels of
progressively increasing depth creating a dramatic
cascading effect. Ideally suited for larger windows.
4. Gradient Hard Pleat has rod supports used to
maintain blind shape and definition. Guide wires or a
track system are available to give the blind stability.
- Cushions
Cushions are a quick and easy way to add colour and
texture to a room without undertaking drastic design
changes. Cushion style, size and position in the room
will create different effects. Oceanair’s extensive and
exclusive soft furnishings range offers a wide variety of
choice to suit every requirement. With 7 cushion styles,
different sizes and shapes, a choice of fillings and a vast
selection of materials and linings you are guaranteed
that the addition of Oceanair treatment will enhance the
appearance of any room.
- Curtains
Curtains are an equally versatile and practical way to
add style and atmosphere, complementing a cabin’s
existing interior style. Practically, curtains provide
insulation and shade where necessary and can be
produced in a vast array of styles depending on the
design requirements. The Oceanair range offers
unlimited combinations to create the perfect curtain for
the design: a choice of size and shape, pole style and
colour, heading styles from classic to contemporary and
colour of fabric.
- Bedspreads & Throws
Bedspreads and Throws are undoubtedly the easiest and
most affordable way to change the appearance and
ambience of a cabin. The duality of made to measure
bedspreads and throws is by far this product’s biggest
selling point. Not only will the cabin be transformed by
the injection of colour and texture but the addition of
colour co-ordinated, high quality bed linen will be
welcomed for a cosy and comfortable nights sleep on
colder evenings.
