A group of 16 students from classes IV, VI<br />

and VII participated in fun filled activities<br />

organized by the Habitat Children's Book<br />

Forum on 07.11.<strong>12</strong>, on the occasion of its<br />

9th Birthday, The activities included –<br />

'Show and tell your favourite picture<br />

books' for students of class IV and a<br />

'Literary Quiz' for students of classes VI<br />

and VII. These activities were coupled<br />

with a Book Parade and a Poetry<br />

Enactment. Our school got a special<br />

recognition and a gift for being very<br />

regular in all the events organized by the<br />

Book Forum and for its enthusiastic<br />

participation.<br />

30 students of Heritage Club, accompanied by two teachers, Ms. P. Minocha and Ms. V. Lala, visited Hauz Khas Village for<br />

a Heritage Walk organized by INTACH, on 13.10.<strong>12</strong>. The highlights of this area were the 13 Century reservoir and the<br />

renowned buildings, Madrasa and the tomb of its royal founder, Firoz Shah Tughlaq. Several other pavilions, tombs and<br />

mosques built during the time of other Delhi Sultanate rulers are also found in the surrounding park. It was an enriching<br />

and valuable experience for both teachers and students alike.<br />

Oct.20<strong>12</strong>. 57 Cadets from Delhi<br />

Directorate attended the trekking camp<br />

and successfully completed the total trek<br />

distance of 42 km from Sukha, Siliguri to<br />

Phuguri and then back to Sukha from the<br />

other trek. Four students of our school,<br />

Sakshi Dagar (XIE), Manisha Gupta<br />

(XIC), Vrinda Bhatnagar (XIA) and<br />

Bhavya Bhardwaj (XIA), attended the<br />

camp and participated in all the cultural<br />

celebrations.<br />
