<strong>Pershing</strong> Walk-Jog-A-Thon<br />

Students!!! -Walk or Jog With Your Class to Raise Funds for <strong>Pershing</strong><br />
WHEN? - On Friday, May 10 th During a Special PE Schedule<br />
WHERE? -On the PE Upper Fields<br />
WHAT TO WEAR? -Come to School Dressed in Walking or Running Clothes<br />
WHY? -To Raise Funds for <strong>Pershing</strong> Programs such as digital literacy, science<br />
fair, classroom supplies, website upkeep, and teacher classroom stipends<br />
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? -Students can ask friends, family, or others<br />
to sponsor them for a flat fee or a donation per lap<br />
All Students Are Eligible for Prizes!! Every student will receive one raffle<br />
ticket and an additional raffle ticket for every $20 raised. Prizes will also be<br />
awarded per grade level for most laps run and most money raised. Some of the<br />
prizes to be awarded include Park Hopper Passes to Disneyland/Ca. Adventure,<br />
Belmont Park Wrist Bands for Unlimited Rides, Bowling for 6, Padres Tickets,<br />
and I-Pod Nanos. Raffle prizes include gift cards to various local eateries and<br />
yogurt shops, boogie boards, autographed sports items, and I-Tunes gift cards.<br />
The advisory class that raises the most funds will be treated to a donut party.<br />
All donations should be turned in to your student’s advisory teacher from now<br />
until May 15 th to be eligible for prizes. There will be a student assembly on<br />
May 31 st to announce the winners. PLEASE WRITE your student’s name and<br />
advisory teacher on all donation logs and envelopes so each student is given<br />
proper credit for his/her donations.<br />
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE! The <strong>Pershing</strong> Foundation is a<br />

as music, digital literacy, purchase much needed supplies and equipment,<br />
such as paper and sound equipment, and make infrastructure improvements.<br />
I am asking for a flat fee donation. I can win prizes for the most money<br />
raised, most laps run, and for each $20 I raise. Your donation is tax<br />
