Description
ELOTEX ® SRT100 is a highly efficient hydrophobic and oleophobic additive in
powder form developed to increase dramatically the stain resistance of cement based
mortar, such as joint fillers, renders and self levelling coumpounds.
ELOTEX ® SRT100 is a unique patented redispersible, fluoroalkylsilane based
additive, which protects both surface and bulk of cement based mortars against water
and oil penetration, a primary cause of staining.

ELOTEX ® SRT100 demonstrates during processing, excellent mixing properties with
practically no wetting delay, an excellent workability even at higher dosages and is
compatible with all common mortar additives.
Incorporation of ELOTEX ® SRT100 results in the cured state in outstanding
hydrophobicity and oleophobicity, (beading or drop-effect). It also greatly reduced
water and oil absorption, increases dramatically stain resistance and provides a longlasting
effect.
To be fully efficient, ELOTEX ® SRT100 needs to be used in alkaline medium,
typically a pH of 12

Guidelines for use
Powder processing
ELOTEX ® SRT100 can be mixed with other dry additives in all standard compulsory
type mixers to produce cement-based finished products in powder form.
Major temperature increases due to high shear forces should be avoided. All
hydraulically and non-hydraulically curing dry mixtures with ELOTEX ® SRT100 may
be easily mixed with water before application. For mixing finished products in powder
form, one usually places the required amount of mixing water in a suitable vessel and
add the powder mixture under agitation. Too intensive agitation of the mixture may
result in unwanted air inclusion. Before application, one should allow the mixture to
stand for a short time. Depending on the properties of the other additives, the
standing time will be in the range of approx. 1-5 minutes.
Recommended dosage
The amount of ELOTEX ® SRT100 to be used is between 0.3 and 1.0% (dry)
depending on applications and ultimate requirements in hydrophobicity and
oleophobicity of the product.
Compatibility
ELOTEX ® SRT100 is compatible with all standard mortar additives such as
redispersible polymer powders, accelerators, retarders, cellulose ethers etc.

Other types of packaging are possible on
request.
As a basic rule it is recommended to store
ELOTEX ® specialty additive in a dry location at
temperatures below 30°C and to process within
12 months.
