Petroleum <strong>and</strong> <strong>Natural</strong> <strong>Gas</strong> Act<br />
This information letter is to advise operators of the new web based form, the<br />
<strong>Monthly</strong> <strong>Natural</strong> <strong>Gas</strong> <strong>Plant</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Processing</strong> <strong>Statement</strong> (<strong>BC19</strong>). This form replaces<br />
the <strong>Monthly</strong> <strong>Natural</strong> <strong>Gas</strong> <strong>Plant</strong> <strong>Statement</strong> (BC16) <strong>and</strong> the <strong>Monthly</strong> <strong>Natural</strong> <strong>Gas</strong><br />
<strong>Processing</strong> <strong>Statement</strong> (BC17).<br />
If you are an operator of a gas plant or dry gas source, you will use the <strong>BC19</strong> to<br />
report the following:<br />
• volume of raw gas delivered to a gas plant or dry gas source,<br />
• volume of residue gas extracted,<br />
• volume of natural gas delivered to storage,<br />
• volume of natural gas by‐products (ethane, propane, butane, condensates,<br />
pentanes <strong>and</strong> sulphur) extracted from raw gas that has been delivered to<br />
the plant,<br />
• any gathering system or plant losses associated with transporting <strong>and</strong><br />
processing the raw gas deliveries, <strong>and</strong><br />
• natural gas <strong>and</strong> by‐product royalty splits.<br />
You need to file the <strong>BC19</strong> no later than the 25th day of the month following<br />
the calendar month in which the gas was processed. This is the same due date<br />
as the BC16 <strong>and</strong> BC17.<br />
You can start using the <strong>BC19</strong> in December 2009 for gas processed in November 2009.<br />
You are required to start using the <strong>BC19</strong> by March 2010 for gas processed in<br />
February 2010. By March 2010, the ministry will no longer accept the BC16 or<br />
the BC17.<br />
Starting in March 2010, for gas processed in February 2010, the ministry will assess<br />
a penalty charge of $100 per month if you do not file the <strong>BC19</strong> by the due date.<br />

The <strong>BC19</strong> must be submitted online. The ministry will not accept the <strong>BC19</strong> on paper or<br />
in any other form.<br />
