THE TEAM:
The Transfer Pricing team is headed by Batanayi Katongera and consists of one other Transfer
Pricing Economist. The team sits within the wider award winning Tax Team in the Corporate
Group, which includes 8 Partners, 12 Associates and 6 Trainees and advises on a wide variety of
domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, demergers, reconstructions
and reorganisations, private equity deals, fund structures and the establishment of new business
ventures. We have most recently been named ‘Best Tax Team in a Law Firm’at the LexisNexis
Taxation Awards in 2010.
We are one of very few law firms with a full service Transfer Pricing team. We assist clients with
preparing economic evidence in support of Transfer Pricing positions including designing,
implementing and managing Transfer Pricing policies. We also assist with Transfer Pricing
controversy management including audit, negotiation and litigation.

THE ROLE:
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to join our busy team,
based in our London office. Key responsibilities and tasks will include (but will not be limited to):
· Developing a clear understanding of the clients' business, internal structures & the issues
influencing their business decisions. Tailoring legal advice and developing strategies to meet
both the clients' needs and the requirements imposed by national tax authorities.

· Identifying opportunities to expand relationships with existing clients and assisting in the pitch
process.
· Conducting regular economic analysis pursuant to the preparation of Transfer Pricing reports
and policies, including gathering the data and producing the reports.
· Drafting, amending and analysing complex information and documents, tailoring precedents
to address the clients' particular needs.
· Running a project to budget and within project timelines and gathering key accountancy
information to deliver to the client.
· Researching relevant issues, maintaining awareness of available know how and taking
responsibility for keeping up to date with relevant changes to legislation. Contributing know
how knowledge to the rest of the department with a good understanding of OECD guidelines.
· Assuming overall responsibility for a more junior Transfer Pricing Economist.
· Relevant ad hoc projects as and when required.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous Experience: At least 4/5 years' Transfer Pricing experience gained in a similar
role from within a law firm or accountancy environment. Excellent academics with a minimum
of 2:1 gained at degree level in accounting, finance or law.
· Organisation: Excellent organisational and project management skills. Meticulous in
document management, meeting deadlines and able to effectively prioritise. Self-motivated
and proactive.
· Report Writing: First class analytical and report writing skills. Excellent attention to detail
and accuracy.
· Team Work: Ability to work as part of a team. Able to form strong working relationships
across all areas of the firm.
· Client Orientated: The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, confident and
demonstrate excellent communication skills with managers, fee earners and clients.
