MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING<br />
1. The <strong>SPCB</strong> agreed the minute of the meeting held on 2 <strong>May</strong> <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
MATTERS ARISING<br />
2. The <strong>SPCB</strong> noted that a decision made at the previous meeting had<br />
been made public in advance of due process and further noted that a<br />
complaint had been received from Rob Gibson MSP. An <strong>SPCB</strong> member<br />
acknowledged that they had made information available before it was due to<br />
be in the public domain. They expressed their regret and apologised to the<br />
other <strong>SPCB</strong> members for this action.<br />
3. The <strong>SPCB</strong> invited the Presiding Officer to write to Mr Gibson,<br />
confirming that the <strong>SPCB</strong> had discussed the situation, expressing its regret<br />
that he had not been notified first as is usual <strong>SPCB</strong> practice, and reassuring<br />
him that it had taken appropriate steps to avoid a similar incident in the future.<br />

PENSIONS: BRIEFING FOR <strong>SPCB</strong> MEMBERS – <strong>SPCB</strong>(<strong>2012</strong>)Paper 29<br />
4. The <strong>SPCB</strong> considered the issues raised in the paper and agreed to<br />
seek advice from the Advisory Audit Board before making a decision on the<br />
way forward.<br />
OFFICEHOLDERS<br />
5. After discussion, the <strong>SPCB</strong> agreed that a paper should be brought to a<br />
future meeting for consideration.<br />
BUILDING MAINTENANCE: UPDATE<br />
6. The <strong>SPCB</strong> received an update on building maintenance issues.<br />
MEMORIALS<br />
7. The <strong>SPCB</strong> agreed that its policy should be to decline all requests for<br />
memorials on the parliamentary campus.<br />
DATE OF NEXT MEETING<br />
8. The next <strong>SPCB</strong> meeting was scheduled to take place on Wednesday,<br />
30 <strong>May</strong> <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
