Greetings to all SD Theta
Alumni. The Brothers are proud to
once again present Thoughts From
Theta. It is hard to believe another
semester has aknost passed us by, but
let the Brothers take this opportunity
to catch you up on the last few
months.
The Annual Golf Tcurnament
was held July 11 at the Tyler Community
Golf Course in Tyler, MN, which
is managed by Brother Jason Gunnare
{'00}. Brothers Aaron Hoese and
Robert Fisher attended Convention
and National Leadership School on behalf
of the chapter and had nothing
but positive experiences at both
events. Brothers Cody Lauer, Darin
Radke, and Jake Raml offered several
hours of help to Brother Gunnare
cleaning off golf carts on Octob er 22,
and later that week nineteen Brothers
represented SD Theta on October 24-
25 at North Dakota State University in
Fargo, ND for Province Tau Leadership
School.
Despite the cold of Hobo Days
this year the Brothers warmed up with
alumni for our annual chili feed following
the parade. During the festivities
of the week the six-man SAE team
finished second in the ten-person
team Bum Olympics. The SAE flag
football team was easily the most fun
team on the field for the Greek
League, and their 3rd place finish was
well deserved. The Brothers again
showed aggressiveness is a fine quality
to display while still maintaining
the image of a gentleman.
The newest change to the chapter
was the chapter house itself. This summer
work began on the remodeling of
the chapter forrnal room, an extraordinary
task to say the least. Spearheaded
by the effcrt of House Corporation Director
Tom Linngren ('9t; and wife
Paige, the room was completely redone
with new paint, borders, blinds, carpet,
lamps, chairs, tables, and leather
ccuches. The game room, upstairs
bathroom, and main entryway received
new flooring and paint, and the closet
doors located by the pool table were replaced
and shelves wer€ installed inside
the closets. The Brothers are so
thankful for all who contributed to this
project in any way, and especially to
Tom and Paige for bringing out the hest
look possible for the formal room. It is
a gift to have a room with such eyeappeal.
The twenty-nine men of SD Theta
wish you peace and happiness in the
new year and again offer thanks for
your continued support.
Phi Alpha,
