• Your textbook! Seems pretty obvious, but your book comes with all sorts of resources: online,<br />

CDs, and the pages between the covers! Some things to look <strong>for</strong> include:<br />

o Practice questions , Case studies , Key concepts, Chapter summaries , Diagrams (look <strong>for</strong><br />

those in your A&P book)<br />

• Speaking of textbooks, would you prefer a digital version of your book? Elsevier textbooks can<br />

be purchased through PageBurst (pageburst.elsevier.com). You can then download it to your<br />

iPhone or iPad.<br />

• Elsevier also puts offers additional content <strong>for</strong> your books in the <strong>for</strong>m of chapter review/tests<br />

and practice exam and other resources. (Free)<br />

• Also check out your ATI books and online. They offer great practice questions with rationale <strong>for</strong><br />

all of the answers. If you can, take the practice tests. They also offer rationale when you get<br />

answers wrong.<br />

• Need to make note cards? This site can even sync the notecards you make to your iPhone!<br />

• Believe it or not, but YouTube can be incredibly helpful while studying nursing. Search <strong>for</strong> videos<br />

of disorders you don’t know or check out a funny video to help you relax while studying.<br />

• Need some peer-reviewed journals? Check out these databases on our library’s website<br />

o CINHAL , PubMed , UpToDate<br />

o The library site also provides other resources which you normally have to pay <strong>for</strong>!<br />
