SOME CONCERNS OF MEMBERS
1. AOSA is mainly made up of seed control
officials and SCST is made up of seed company
analysts. The two associations have different
objectives.
Comment: As I indicated earlier the two
association objective are similar as determined
by the task force. When AOSA was formed in
1910 it was formed by workers in agricultural
experiment stations, agricultural colleges and the
US Dept of ag. Representative from 16 state,
USDA and Dept of Ag from Canada.
The constitution adopted had two purposes: “to
secure uniformity in and accuracy in methods,
results and reports; and to provide opportunities
for discussions of matters of interest to seed
analysts”.
