After the 13 years old boy
from Bogotá have had
difficulties in the music
lesson in his school, his
mother Martha Gonzalez
decided to support him by
buying his first electronic
piano. So Sammy Wilson
made his first steps with
his love – how he is calling
the music. Thus he began
playing in the school
band ballads 90th and
other music which were
heard at that time. His
first band was called
Cumbao, a salsa band.
They were devoted to
tropical music for several
years; this is why he
began his studies at the
Central University of
Bogotá. He studied music
and specialized in
trumpet.
