Dear participants of Croatia Rally 2012,<br />
It is my particular pleasure to welcome you to Croatia, to Rijeka, the host city of the Croatia Rally 2012.<br />
that will be held in our city from the<br />
24 th to the 26 th May 2012. We are very proud that one of the oldest<br />
and toughest Croatian car competitionion event, member of FIA European Rally Championship, chose also this<br />
year Rijeka as host. It is verificationion last year begin cooperation with CCKF, and it is opening cooperation<br />
with AK MRC Sport from Rijeka<br />
who is owner on this big Project. We truly believe to continue this<br />
cooperation in next period.<br />
The Mediterranean city with a Middle-European soul - this is how we like to describe Rijeka, the biggest<br />
Croatian port, economic, university and cultural centre with 150,000 inhabitants and<br />
a steady growth. It is a<br />
city of rich historical, natural and cultural heritage, surrounded by most developed tourist areas in Croatia.<br />
It is also a city in which sport in general and in particular the car racing has deep roots. A number of sports<br />
enthusiasts, professionals and volunteers, overjoyed with the fact to have the Croatia Rally back to our<br />
Region, will make their best efforts in order to provide the best conditions for this event. The best confirm is<br />
many of spectators which visit last year event, specialy describe Preluk like place with very long tradition in<br />
car races. I truly hope that all of you will enjoy the competition – let the best win! And I am sure that all<br />
octane’s fans from here and abroad will have a great time.<br />

Any entry application for participating in CROATIA <strong>RALLY</strong> will be accepted only fully completed, dully<br />
signed and accompanied by the total entry fees or by a receipt issued by the competitor’s ASN.<br />
Details concerning the Co-driver may be submitted up to Wednesday, 23 May 2012 (1 hour before<br />
Administrative check – up to 16:00 hours).<br />
The entry application must reach the Rally HQ before the closing date Wednesday, 16 May.If the<br />
entry application is sent by fax, or e-mail the original must reach the Organizers’ by Friday, 18 May<br />
2012.<br />
Maximum number of entries is fixed at 100 vehicles. If more than 100 entries are received, the<br />
Organisers reserve the sole right to decide which entries among the non priority drivers will be<br />

6. TWO-WAY RADIO<br />

It is possible to use radio devices<br />
and frequencies if you previously acquire the license that is issued by<br />
the Croatian telecommunicationion agency. The application needs to be submitted at least 30 days<br />
before the usage and the fee is cca 150 EUR.<br />

8. HELICOPTERS<br />
8.1. REGISTRATION PROCEDUREE / INFORMATION<br />
In accordance with the flight rules every pilot should carry out standard procedures for application<br />
of flight. There are no specific protocol for registering the arrival of the helicopter. The airport<br />
nearest to the maintenance of the rally is the airport of Rijeka, which is located<br />
on the island 30 km<br />
away from the city of Rijeka.<br />

10. HOTEL & ACCOMMODATION RESERVATION<br />
Some hotels and other commercial accommodation facilities in and around Rijeka have been<br />
reserved by the organizers for teams, competitors, media and sponsors needs and can be booked via<br />
our accommodation coordinator. Information about list of hotels will be available on www.croatiarally.com.<br />

11. RECONNAISSANCE<br />
11.1 REGISTRATION<br />
According with Article 20 of the FIA Regioanal Rallies Championship Sporting Regulations.<br />
The compulsary registration for reconnaissance will take place at the following dates and times at the<br />
Accreditation office, Korzo 18b:<br />

During reconnaissance there shall be control marshals at the start and stop point of each special<br />
stage. Further checks may also be carried out during special stages. During the reconnaissance there<br />
will be no GPS tracking.<br />
11.2 RESTRICTIONS<br />
11.2.1<br />
Any kind of practice on the rally route is forbidden.<br />
11.2.2<br />
Throughout the entire reconnaissance, the crews must strictly observee the traffic laws<br />
effective in the Republic of Croatia, which generally correspond to those in continental Europe. If<br />

signs, the maximum permitted speed in built up areas is 50 km/h,<br />
outside built up areas 80 km/h, and on highways 130 km/h. Headlights must be on at all times. The<br />
use of radar detectors is forbidden<br />
11.3.3<br />
Each crew will be allowed to drive each special stage during the reconnaissance only 2 times.<br />
11.3.4<br />
In no circumstances may crews drive in the opposite direction to that of the rally in the special stages<br />
during reconnaissance.<br />
12. SHAKEDOWN<br />

Any person on board the car during shakedown who is not entered for the rally must have signed the<br />
disclaimer – in the Appendix 7 of this Supplementary Regulations – which must reach the Clerk of the<br />
Course until 23 May, accompanied by photocopy of Passport or Identity Card, waving the<br />

Each passenger for the Shakedown must wear FIA protective clothing (overalls, helmets, HANS...).<br />
12.2 LOCATION<br />
Kostrena - Sv.Kuzam<br />
** Specific Road-book to be issued.<br />
The shakedown will be over 2 km on asphalt road in direction Kostrena from main road,<br />
approximately 10 km<br />
from the Rally HQ/Service. It is allowed to make service in the marked space on the way back from<br />
stop to start of the shakake ake down.<br />
