APPLICATION. MISSING INFORMATION MAY CAUSE THE APPLICATION TO BE RETURNED<br />
TO YOU FOR CORRECTION.<br />
1. The applicant must NOT have been previously issued a hunting license by <strong>the</strong> Department, ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />
state, agency of a Canadian province or an agency of any o<strong>the</strong>r foreign country, including ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />
apprentice license.<br />
2. "Resident" means any person who is a citizen of, or is lawfully entitled <strong>to</strong> remain in, <strong>the</strong> United States;<br />
and during <strong>the</strong> 6 months next preceding his application was physically present in <strong>Nevada</strong>, except for<br />
temporary trips outside of <strong>the</strong> state; and did not purchase or apply for any resident license, tag or<br />
permit <strong>to</strong> hunt, fish or trap in ano<strong>the</strong>r state, country or province.<br />
3. Each application must be accompanied by <strong>the</strong> proper fee; submit a cashier's check or money order.<br />
OUT-OF-STATE personal or company checks are not accepted. A $25 return check fee and non<br />
refundable fees will be due for checks returned by <strong>the</strong> bank.<br />
4. Applicant must attach proof of residency (may include <strong>Nevada</strong> driver's license or o<strong>the</strong>r proof,<br />
containing name and address and dated 6 months <strong>prior</strong>.)<br />
5. Parent or legal guardian signature required for youth 17 years of age and younger purchasing a hunting<br />
or combined hunting and fishing license as per NRS 41.472, as provided below.<br />
*NRS 41.472<br />
1. If a parent, guardian or o<strong>the</strong>r person legally responsible for a minor under <strong>the</strong> age of 18 years:<br />
(a) Knows that <strong>the</strong> minor has previously been adjudicated delinquent or has<br />
been convicted of a criminal offense;<br />
(b) Knows that <strong>the</strong> minor has a propensity <strong>to</strong> commit violent acts; or<br />
(c) Knows or has reason <strong>to</strong> know that <strong>the</strong> minor intends <strong>to</strong> use <strong>the</strong> firearm for<br />
unlawful purposes,<br />
and permits <strong>the</strong> minor <strong>to</strong> use or possess a firearm, any negligence or willful misconduct of <strong>the</strong><br />
minor in connection with such use or possession is imputed <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> person who permits such use<br />
or possession for all purposes of civil damages, and, notwithstanding <strong>the</strong> provisions of<br />
subsection 2 of NRS 41.470**, that person is jointly and severally liable with <strong>the</strong> minor for any<br />
and all damages caused by such negligence or willful misconduct.<br />
**NRS 41.470 states <strong>the</strong> joint and several liability of one or both parents or guardian having cus<strong>to</strong>dy or<br />
control of a minor under this section shall not exceed $10,000 for any such act of willful misconduct of<br />
<strong>the</strong> minor.<br />
6. Prior <strong>to</strong> entering <strong>the</strong> field your Apprentice license must be signed and <strong>the</strong> affidavits initialed by <strong>the</strong><br />
applicant and <strong>the</strong> parent or legal guardian must sign if required per NRS 41.472.<br />

I will at all times while in <strong>the</strong> field be accompanied and directly supervised by at least one adult<br />
licensed men<strong>to</strong>r hunter who is 18 years of age or older. ("Accompany and directly supervise"<br />
occurs when a person over 18 maintains close visual and verbal contact with, provides adequate<br />
direction <strong>to</strong>, and can immediately assume control of <strong>the</strong> firearm from <strong>the</strong> apprentice hunter.)<br />
