<strong>in</strong> various ways - by answer<strong>in</strong>g questions on the questionnaire, hav<strong>in</strong>g direct talks with me or<br />

through active participation <strong>in</strong> the onl<strong>in</strong>e discussions.<br />

I would like to particularly thank the eBRAIN Forum (<strong>Zambia</strong>) for the use of their facilities which<br />

<strong>in</strong>cluded the onl<strong>in</strong>e discussions. In the same ve<strong>in</strong>, I would like to thank the Computer Society of<br />

I would be fail<strong>in</strong>g if I did not make special mention of SA<strong>NGO</strong>NeT (through David Bernard) for this<br />

<strong>in</strong>itiative that allowed my country <strong>Zambia</strong> to be part of a process that will achieve regional<br />

collaboration <strong>in</strong> such matters as ICT4D, which are card<strong>in</strong>al for developmental efforts <strong>in</strong> the region.<br />

This project comes at a crucial time for <strong>Zambia</strong> as it is about to legislate the ICT Bill which will, <strong>in</strong> the<br />

f<strong>in</strong>al analysis, change the way ICT is used and perceived <strong>in</strong> <strong>Zambia</strong>.<br />

I would like to thank my family for their support dur<strong>in</strong>g the process of carry<strong>in</strong>g out the assignment.<br />
