The National Highways Authority of India invites sealed bids (Technical and Financial) from
eligible bidders for the Construction of Road Over Bridge(ROB) as detailed in the Table
below:-

1. Bidders may obtain further information from, and inspect and acquire the bidding
documents, at the office of the National Highways Authority of India, from Mr. RK
Kaundal, General Manager (Tech), RO Jammu SCO 74 1 st Floor MDC, Sector -5
Panchkula (Haryana).
2. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on
submission of a written application to the above office, and upon payment of a nonrefundable
fee of Rs. 5000/- in fhe form of Demand Draft from any scheduled Bank
in favour of National Highways Authority of India, payable at Chandigarh, during
working hours from 10 Jan 2011 and up to 09 Feb 2011. Bid documents may also
be downloaded from NHAI website www.nhai.org. Applicants submitting the
downloaded version of the Bid Documents would need to pay the cost of the
documents along with the application in the above manner. The
amendments/clarifications to the bid documents if any will be hosted on the above
website only.
3. All bids must be accompanied by Bid Security of the amount specified in the above
Table payable at Chandigarh and drawn in favour of National Highways Authority

of India. Bid Security will have to be in anyone of the forms as specified in Clause
17 of ITB (Instructions to Bidders).
4. All Bids must be received not later than 1500 hours on 10 Feb 2011 in manner
specified in ITB at address given below:

5. The bids should be submitted in hard bound form with proper indexing and page
numbering. The details submitted in other forms like spiral bound form, loose form
etc. would be rejected.
6. The Technical Bids will be opened at 1600 hrs on 10 Feb 2011 at National
Highways Authority of India, RO Jammu, in the presence of bidders or their
representatives who choose to attend. In the event of the specified date of bid
submission/opening being declared a holiday for the Employer, the bids shall be
received/opened on the next working day at the same place and the same time .:
7. The Bidder or his representative is invited to attend a pre-bid meeting which will take
place at 1130 hrs upto 1700 hrs on 27 Jan 2011.
8. The financial bid of bidders whose Technical bids have been determined responsive
and who have the required bid capacity and other requirements as per Bid
Documents, read along with pre-qualification Documents, will be opened in the
Serial Order as listed in the Invitation of Bid on the date to be intimated later.
