This electrical fundamentals program provides students with<br />
instruction in electrical installation and related skills, safety<br />
standards, tools and instrumentation, and terminology. Also<br />
includes electrical theory, industry mathematics, interpretation<br />
of blueprints and schematics, and the application of electrical<br />
laws. Students practice all skills in a lab setting on a stimulated<br />
residential structure.<br />

Welding<br />
For the student interested in entering an exciting fi eld with<br />
outstanding employment opportunities, or who wants to<br />
improve his/her current welding skill level. Students work<br />
with techniques of Arc, Gas, MIG and TIG welding used in the<br />
aircraft and construction industries. Prepares students to meet<br />
industry certifi cation requirements for metal repair, welding<br />
techniques, and equipment. Prepares students to take the<br />
D1.1 (SMAW) Welding Certifi cation and ASME Certifi cation<br />
Examination. Purchase of apparel and materials required for<br />
adults, and optional for high school students (approximately<br />

Students will develop an understanding of mechanical and<br />
electrical systems, and will become familiar with the tools and<br />
equipment associated with HVAC. <strong>Course</strong> covers theory of<br />
refrigeration evacuation and charging methods; tools, materials,<br />
and equipment; components; electric circuits and controls;<br />
installation of HVAC systems; electrical motors; schematic<br />
wiring diagrams and HVAC blueprint. Students have the opportunity<br />
to take the EPA Certifi cation exam in class in order to<br />
earn their universal license for HVAC equipment.<br />

reading, related maintenance and repair techniques, and<br />
