Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London is offering a one-day course exploring the trends and highlights
of contemporary jewellery. Experts such as Joanna Hardy, Senior Specialist from Sotheby’s
Jewellery Department London, and world renowned jewellery designers including Leo de Vroomen
(famed for his exquisite use of enamel) and Shaun Leane (one the UK’s hottest young design
talents) will share their varied insights with course participants including exclusive handling sessions
providing an opportunity to view rare pieces close up. The designers will give a fascinating
perspective on the task of designing fashionable jewellery for today’s increasingly discerning
market.
The day is complete with a Champagne reception which will provide a unique opportunity for
participants to network, discuss the day’s learnings, meet other course participants and have further
discussions with the experts. The course takes place at the Institute’s premises situated in Bedford
Square in the heart of London’s Bloomsbury near the British Museum.
