THE OXFORD ART FACTORY
…is a two room, multi-functional venue that has re-shaped entertainment in Sydney.
Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York during the 60’s, the venue creates a cultural focal point for international and local artists, providing them with
a world-class platform from which to showcase their talents to an estimated weekly audience of over 5,000 people.
The OAF (as many have affectionately nicknamed it) also offers a variety of function options for your next event, this versatile space is able to accommodate
40 – 600 guests.

The Oxford Art Factory is more than just an impressive space.
It is an informed response to Sydney’s desire for a dynamic new entertainment experience.
From the interior fit-out to bar operations, entertainment bookings to marketing - every component of the
Oxford Art Factory draws upon the experience of industry leaders to ensure that the atmosphere is second
to none.
The Oxford Art Factory can be broken down into three unique spaces:
• The Gallery Bar
• The Live Art Space (also known as ‘The Main Room’)
• The Cube
Each area of the venue has the capacity to work as a stand-alone entity whilst also operating as a combined
and coherent business.
As the name ‘Oxford Art Factory’ suggests, ‘art’ provides the framework for this venue concept, and
throughout it creates a showcase for visual art, performance art and live music.

THREE UNIQUE SPACES
THE GALLERY BAR
The Gallery Bar is defined as the space
located immediately down the stairs and to
the left from the front entrance.
The objective of The Gallery is to provide a
space for quality Australian and international
artists to exhibit work. While the surrounding
Surry Hills and Darlinghurst areas are
buzzing with a vibrant and sophisticated art
scene, Oxford Street itself has no real focal
point for this community and The Gallery has
created exactly that.
The Gallery Bar is perfect for daytime events
such as photo shoots, as well as for small to
medium sized events. This bar promises to
bring about an atmosphere of an underground
art space meets decadent cocktail hot spot to
your event.
THE LIVE ART SPACE
The Live Art Space (or Main Room) is the
largest space in the Oxford Art Factory and
has the capacity to host up to 500 guests.
The objective of The Live Art Space is to
provide a multi-functional medium-sized live
performance space to cater for international
and local bands, as well as a dynamic
program of alternate entertainment such as
Burlesque, Vaudeville and Theatre.
This room is perfect for events boasting
entertainment such as live acts, presentations,
DJs and installations.
THE CUBE
Consisting of glass walls and a wooden top,
The Cube is defined as the area immediately
below the stairs at the entrance separating
the two main rooms.
The Cube is essentially known as the ‘Heart’
of the OAF. Its totally unique space provides
a platform for all manner of art – all the way
through to visual presentations using one of
five data projectors available to you at the
OAF.
This 10x10 space has housed static
installations, live performance artists, a live
radio broadcast by Triple J - even a tattooist
making his mark on the (bravest) attendees.

The Oxford Art Factory is set up with cutting edge equipment to
handle any audio-visual requirements you may have:
• 5 Projectors
• VGA Inputs
• Sound Board
• 3 DJ Consoles
• A Variety of Microphones
• Sophisticated Lighting setup
Sound and AV Technicians can be hired @ $250 for 6 Hours *
Lighting Technician can be hired @ $180 for 4 Hours *
*Additional hours are charged @ $45 p/hr.

OTHER EVENT SOLUTIONS
Venue Dressing – (POA)
The Oxford Art Factory is unparalleled in the versatility of the space on offer.
Working within your theme of choice, the venue can be dressed and transformed
into a completely unique setting for your guests to admire. Entire jungles, sandy
beaches and even an authentic retro Milk Bar have been created inside the glass
cube. If you can imagine it, OAF can create it.
Edward Woodley, OAF’s artistic curator, has an impressive resume installing
visual backdrops both in Australia and overseas. We are proud to have his
services available to you.
Music for your Event – (POA)
The Oxford Art Factory is internationally renowned for the wide array of live
music events it plays host to on a weekly basis, with acts ranging from Rowland
S. Howard to Lady Gaga and Wolfmother to Boy and Bear, Matt Corby, Mumford
& Sons and Art vs Science, just to name a few. The OAF team can work with you
to select and book live music artists that will compliment and enhance your event.
