Product:
Self Leveling Compound VE50 is a cement based
leveling compound with high polymer content and
excellent self leveling properties.
Characteristics:
- Low tension build up
- Excellent final grip
- Very low emission (EC-1 according to GEV)
- From 1 – 15 mm layer thickness
- Excellent self leveling properties
- Extremely fast setting
Applications:
For preparing ready-to-install substrates up to15
mm layer thickness. For the immediate installation
of floor coverings. Suitable for install-in-one-day
applications.
Packaging:
Colour: grey
Packaging: 25kg
Shelf life:
6 months in unopened original packaging in a dry
storage place at temperatures between +5°C and
+25°.
Substrate:
Self Leveling Compound VE50 should be applied to
an even, dry, clean and smooth substrate, which is
also free from irregularities and cracks. Old
adhesive remains may adversely affect the
adhesion and must be removed mechanically.
Loose parts must be removed before the
application of the leveling compound.
Smooth surfaces like anhydrite should be
roughened, and if necessary the top layer should
be removed.
Porous mineral surfaces may require priming with
Soudal WBPR-11P before installation. Powdery
surfaces can be treated (after consulting the Soudal
technical service) with Soudal WBPR-21P deep
primer.
Load bearing, non-absorbent substrates, such as
ceramic tile, terrazzo, poured mastic asphalt and
the like, can be leveled with Self Leveling
Compound VE50 without any prior primer
application as long as they are clean and free of
dust. Clean stone floors with caustic soda or
another suitable cleaner. Once cleaned, rinse the
tiles thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
A preliminary compatibility test is
recommended on every surface.
Applying the compound:
Method: Use clean water to mix Self Leveling
Compound VE50 smoothly with an electric mixer at
approx. 600 RPM. Allow mixture to slake for
approx. 5 minutes and stir again. Apply leveling
compound with a leveling trowel or rake.
If necessary, a second layer application can follow
wet on wet immediately after the substrate is ready
for traffic. Otherwise re-prime with Soudal
WBPR-11P.
