Fairgrounds booms with powwow sounds<br />

The <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>Ute</strong> Tribal Fair Powwow, one of the fair’s<br />

marquee events, drew hundreds of participants from across<br />

<strong>Indian</strong> Country to celebrate Native culture and compete for prizes.<br />

Kicking off the powwow on Friday, Sept. 7 was the crowning of a<br />

new group of <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>Ute</strong> Royalty: Miss <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>Ute</strong> Autumn<br />
