quality assurance processing aids:
Some steps in the processing of cereals and sugar syrup into bioethanol and
Distillers’ Grains and Solubles require the use of processing aids which, in
accordance with legal definitions and as far as technical possible, are removed
from the products in the course of production to leave only unavoidable
residual amounts. In order to guarantee that there is no risk to health from any
such residue, a risk assessment shall be made prior to first use which take
into accounts substance identity, purity, exposure scenarios and toxicological
data. The degree of purity is laid down in product specification contractually
agreed with the supplier.
