SAINIK SCHOOL AMBIKAPUR
The Sainik Schools are modeled on the outstanding Public Schools of England sans their elitism and
snobbery. They are under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence with the control being vested in a Board
of Governors, presided over by the Defence Minister. The Principal, Headmaster and Registrar are
service officers on deputation. The Sainik Schools are managed by a Society, which is registered
under the Societies Registration Act ((XXI of 1860).
