What are the Passenger Expectation ???
Passengers are becoming demanding and sophisticated … the
question arising is how do we fulfill their expectations in future …
we all need to think together to find out solutions to their needs …
some of the ever increasing demands are listed in the coming
slides …
35

Customized Offerings on IFE – Every individual has its own preference
therefore to cater to every passengers taste we need to work out IFE
programming as per his liking at least on the broad sense like at least if
we fulfill passengers need in Macro Level … question we have to see in
coming years is how technology progresses & the way forward ???
Updated Media Offerings – At the moment IFE is not considered as a
mainline media vehicle. The offerings are dated & nowadays passengers
is so exposed to latest media … industry has always been skeptical of
offering the fresh media because of PIRACY ISSUES & also there are
technical timelines …industry needs to tell us what is the way forward ???
36

Online Trading – Provide an live environment for a business traveler
which keeps him in touch with ups & downs of his companies stock &
allows him to trade in his preferred stock market … very soon we hope this
will be a reality … lets think about a way forward to make it happen ???
Update of Live Events- Sporting events like Cricket etc where passengers
would like to follow minute to minute … if we can provide updates as tickers
or scrollers on the IFE screen ???
And there are many other such Issues …
37

Conclusion
I have highlighted how Jet Airways has grown as an airline from its
inception and where we are heading …
Also I have mentioned the demands of today’s passengers from an
Airline perspective …
Therefore it’s our challenge as an Industry to look for ways to meet
these demands, keeping in mind the industry constraints …
I request our friends from the media & technology world look for
innovative solutions …
